Great Video Card! Faster than the average 6900 XT!
Pros: Out of the box, this thing beats the average on all tests. Passmark GPU test shows 28,000+ points for this card, and the average for a 6900 XT is 25,000 points or so. This is more than competitive with the 3090 which averages 26,000. A couple of tweaks and you can probably get this thing past 30,000 easily.
Cons: Not really a con, but you should know that it is huge at over 13" long and triple slot. Also it recommends a 1000w power supply. Buildzoid from Actual Hardcore Overclocking, looked at the power delivery on this card and it's very well built (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Azvn6H1vX28), but can require more power in transient loads. If you want the best air-cooled 6900 XT, you have to know what you're getting.
Overall Review: No load that I've thrown at this thing even makes it work hard. It's a beast of a card, and it should be for this tier of product. In an age where RTX3090 is twice the price, this thing is faster in everything but raytracing, but it does that too. That's a bargain right now.
Pretty good overall
Pros: Decent product, as it never seems to have issues with playing games. It never really gets hot, and I was able to adjust the fan curve to be a bit more aggressive and more to my liking.
Cons: Display out didn't like to wake from sleep, and it would sometimes take up to 2 minutes to display the desktop on wake. Also, I was surprised that the framerates weren't much better than my GTX970 until I went to 4k. Then it was acceptable, but not stellar. I replaced this with a Radeon VII, and I'm much happier with it.
Overall Review: Probably going to sell the GTX1080, as I was never really satisfied with it. This is NOT a reflection on Zotac, as the build quality was fine and I had no issues with anything they did. Also, I'm not really happy with the way Nvidia has been moving toward anti-consumer and anti-board partner business practices. The only current competition is AMD, so that is the way to go then.
Great CPU. Upgraded from Intel 4790K
Pros: Fast, twice the performance of my old CPU (4790k) and just chews through programs. I've never run out of power no matter how many programs I've had open.
Cons: 3800X is hard to justify compared to 3700X unless it was on sale like mine.
Overall Review: If it's on sale, go for it. I wanted a 3950X but couldn't find one at the time.
Great motherboard for the price, and probably has better features than expected.
Pros: Lots of fan headers, and configurable options, with a good layout and I love the integrated I/O shield. This is my first integrated WIFI board as well, and I'm never going back, as it's a good backup to run phone WIFI hotspot as a backup for when the main internet goes down. Construction is good, overclocking options seem to be all there, despite Ryzen having limitations in overclocking.
Cons: In my opinion, the software options on this motherboard are lacking compared to the competition. An example is ASUS, having much more robust options for fan control and a better overclocking interface in their software suite. It would be nice to be able to control the fans independent of each other and independent of the profile you're on, as well as making custom profiles. Also, the program (A-Tuning) is very basic overall, with limited system options. This is a minor gripe, but I think it's important for someone that's going to buy X570, no matter the price point.
Overall Review: Overall, it's a great motherboard, despite having limited software. I would recommend it, and in fact, I'd say it's more for the enthusiast that's not going to use the software suite anyway, and just use either the BIOS or other means to control their system.
Even with issues, Corsair pulls through!
Pros: Fast. Very fast! Game loading times are excellent, as well as video production and rendering times.
Cons: I did have my first drive go bad. Not enough to stop the system from working, just having a random detection issue with the motherboard. Corsair stepped up and made it right no problem! They really understand customer service. Diana was a great rep to work with!
Overall Review: Most people won't have issues with their drive, and I can't recommend Corsair enough as a company. That's why they get 5 eggs. Even with something going wrong, they made it right, and that's what counts!
Great case. Best one I've built in some time.
Pros: Lots of space and premium options without a premium price. Also, has spots for optical drives, which some people still use. Nice and light as well, without feeling cheap.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Overall Review: I would recommend this to anyone looking to build a system on a budget that doesn't need a fancy 100+ dollar case. It has the features to get the job done!
Item was as described, it just took a while to get here.
Item showed up as described. It just took a long time to get here. But shipping is slower right now due to "human malware". It's probably not their fault, but it did significantly delay the job.
