Overall Review: After seeing many G.Skill RAM failures in 2024, decided to give SP a try with my builds as ZERO failures with this budget brand have been encountered. They offer an excellent product for the money. Avoid PNY / Patriot, those have the highest RMA of all brands.

amazing value

Superb Value

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 - Core 2 Duo Wolfdale Dual-Core 3.0 GHz LGA 775 65W None Integrated Graphics Processor - BX80570E8400
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 - Core 2 Duo Wolfdale Dual-Core 3.0 GHz LGA 775 65W None Integrated Graphics Processor - BX80570E8400

Pros: 4.2GHz right out of the box in water cooling, 3rd E8400 I've set up that has been able to hit 4.2GHz, this one is for myself and I upgraded from an Opteron 148 overclocked to 3GHz--what a huge difference in performance. Now my 9800GTX is the bottleneck.

Cons: Stock cooler sucks--it's quiet and keeps it cool at stock but don't expect anything more and if you have poor case airflow then you will have problems. Make sure you have a fresh air intake near the processor or high case airflow, and get a ZEROtherm or ThermalRight if you prefer air cooling, for over 4GHz go with a DangerDen water cooling setup.

Fantastic Board

Pros: As a PC Technician I run into motherboard issues all day because boars are usually poorly constructed and designed rather than well. The 750i F T W is a definite exception and it offers the best price to performance ratio for gamers. I'm running an E8400 in it at 4.2GHz with water cooling.

Cons: None really--but if I had to pick a con--the board doesn't seem to recognize EPP (Enhanced Performance Profile)-enabled RAM. So I had to manually configure my SPD settings. Not a big deal at all, you can just put in the settings the memory recommends and leave the more complicated ones automatic.

Overall Review: Highly Recommended.
