Amazing SSD
Pros: The performance of this drive is amazing. It certainly lives up to is specifications which I cannot say about any other drive I've purchased. I purchased 3 of these for 3 gentoo servers. I setup one system and then cloned the drives with dd, here are the dd results: dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb (block size=1024k) 30517+1 records in 30517+1 records out 32000000000 bytes (32 GB) copied, 187.553 s, 171 MB/s The sequential write speed spec'd was 170 MB/s and dd reported 171 MB/s so this drive is the real deal.
Cons: None so far and don't expect to find any. Ideally, price should be lower, but this is one of a few out there with this type of performance.
Overall Review: If you are looking for a solid drive and price isn't a major factor, this is a good drive.
Awesome Barebones Kit
Pros: Great kit, all necessary items (cables/HD brakes, etc) included. If running lcdproc for linux, it will work with the LCD display, although, I've yet to figured out how to control the backlight, if possible.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Other tyan products usually ship with a rackmount kit, but this item did not include it. Not newegg's fault I'm sure, just something to note.
Solid CPU
Pros: Worked out of the box. No issues thus far and solid performance with Tyan GT14 barebones setup.
Cons: none
Quality Product
Pros: Very easy to put together. Up and running in a very short period of time. Server response very quickly. Running Gentoo Linux with a soft RAID 1+0. Some might say the fans are loud, but once the fan controller kicks in, the noise isn't much of a factor, especially if you have this in a server closet.
Cons: None to date
