Excellent Laptop
Pros: Battery Life Build Quality Bright 4K Screen Performance Style
Cons: Blacklight Bleeding on Screen Poor Driver Support
Overall Review: I've owned the Alienware m17x r3 from 2011 for 4 years. That machine was fantastic and it was still running todays games but I decided to sell it and upgrade to this model. The most notable improvement from the old model is battery life. I'm truly shocked this thing can manage 4-7 hours depending on usage. Cons: I owned the old 3D m17x R3 and one thing I miss is the 3D 120hz screen. While the screen is very bright and vibrant on this new model. It is not as fluid as the 120 hz screen and I have severe blacklight bleeding in both the bottom corners. Although it is only apparent in dark sceens of games and movies it doesnt make this machine feel like its worth the price tag. The video card drivers from dell also are not updated frequently enough. Pros: Other than those issues though this machine is fantastic and that is why ill be keeping it for years to come. The build quality is second to none. It feels incredibly well built and the keyboard and touch pad are great to work with. The audio quality in my opinion is quite good for a laptop even surpassing the last model I owned which was also good. The games I have played so far (GTA V, Black Ops 3, Fallout 4) have all performed beautifully at 1080p max settings. This machine can even play at 4K if you lower the settings a little. Honestly I prefer the 1080p though. The machine is also smaller than the last model I had by a little bit and feels more sturdy (which is saying something). Overall If you are looking for a monster laptop with excellent performance, great build quality, and above average battery life. I would highly recommend this. But although the 4K screen does look good it may be better to go with the 1080p one as I hear it is high quality and the 980 doesnt perform as well at 4K
Decent cooling not so decent price
Pros: Decent cooling when overclocking my gpu on my laptop Very nice looking with mirrors and blue led fan Durable and dependable
Cons: Too pricey for what it actually does The fan should move faster to cool better Does not really work as it should in lap
Overall Review: I have owned this cooler since last year when i wanted it to overclock my hp laptop's gpu to lower temps. The cooler seems to be very durable and seems to be very high quality. Overall this cooler is very nice looking but I do not believe it performs as well as it should for the price. There is only about a 3-4C drop in temp. I believe this would be improved with more room for air intake and faster fan.
