Good bang for the buck

Corsair Carbide Series 300R Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ATX (not included) Power Supply
Corsair Carbide Series 300R Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ATX (not included) Power Supply

Pros: Good layout. Reasonable price.

Cons: Could use some rubber inserts where the cabling passes from the main compartment to underneath the mobo and back again. Not a big deal, but I imagine the metal edges on the pass through cutouts could cut into the cables.

Overall Review: Full disclosure, I haven't completed my build yet. I got the case a couple of days ago and I am waiting for other parts. However I have had a chance to look over the case and I am pretty pleased with it. I like the cable routing which should help reduce clutter and improve air flow. The optical drive mounts are tool free and work pretty well. (I'll use screws anyway, but I'm a belt and suspenders kind of guy.) The HDD and SSD mounts are also tool free, but seem slightly less secure than the optical drive mounts. However, you won't be touching these during operation, so they are probably fine. Here again I plan to use screws anyway. The HDD mounts also allow the connections to face the back of the case, and keep your cables out of the main compartment (for the most part). The sides are held on by two thumbscrews each, and essentially allow for tool free access to the inside. Another small but nice touch is that the screws provided to hold down your graphic cards and other add-ons are also thumb screws. Can't tell you how many times in the past I have dropped screws while trying to install or remove a card. This is a nice touch where you actually have some meat to grab onto. The case is provided with two fans (1 X 120mm and 1 X 140mm). It also has mounts for 5 other fans - either 120mm or 140mm (two top, two side, and one additional front). One could argue that it would have been nice to provide more fans with the case; however, I am sure many people probably upgrade the fans anyway. All in all, this is a nice case for the price.

B&D Quality Ain't What It Used To Be

Black & Decker TRO4075B Black 4-Slice Toaster Oven With Convection
Black & Decker TRO4075B Black 4-Slice Toaster Oven With Convection

Pros: Good price for a convection oven.

Cons: Monday morning quality!!

Overall Review: I have owned one of these toaster overs for several years. It still works fine, but has grease splotches on the inside and burn spots on glass door, so I decided for $40 I'd invest in a new one. The new one arrived, I unpacked it and set it on the counter. Immediately I could see that the door had been installed crooked. The top of the door is supposed to be parallel to the top of the oven - but it was at least 1/2" off. In other words, the top right side of the door was 1/4" from the top of the oven and the top left side was 3/4". It was an eyesore, and I couldn't believe Black and Decker had allowed it to ship in that condition. This appeared to be on of those "made on Monday morning" devices. I ordered a replacement from Newegg. At first it appeared they wanted to charge me $28 to ship it back!! However, I contacted their customer service dept. and they issued me a prepaid shipping label to return it. Of course I had to wait until the old oven got back before they would ship the replacement, but about two weeks later the new oven arrived. AND HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM. Door was crooked. Not as bad as the first one, but certainly not something I wanted sitting on my counter top. This time I returned it for a refund. I'll just keep using my old one.
