Pros: Very fast with dd-wrt. No problems or bugs with dd-wrt encountered. Low price.

Cons: Stock firmware from asus is totaly scrap. Please fire the manager who released the firmware! I was unable to connect that thing to brighthouse networks via cable modem (ubee 3201b in bridge mode) within 15 minutes.

Overall Review: I bought it with the intention to flash dd-wrt on it. That worked exactly as hoped. Speed is better than expected. 5 eggs for that combination. With stock firmware? Oops i would have send it back. Bugy, slow - not doing the basics. 0 egg for the default configuration. Please ASUS buy some brain for your software department - or simply fire them and use dd-wrt. Non tech sawy customers will be very disapointed with this device due to buggy stock firmware. With dd-wrt i can fully enjoy the 40 mbps which brighthouse networks roadrunner lightning delivers. So finally this device works well for me.

Pros: Great if they are running.

Cons: Seems that Western Digital had dropped their quality control department completely. 2 of 3 are DOA.

Overall Review: If WD gets rid of their quality problems i would recommend this disk without constraints.

Pros: fast & cheap

Cons: plastic surface is not scratch resistant - looks ugly after short usage.

Overall Review: I use several of them then for backup of my mac, linux and windows 8 pc. Still no problem after 3 mons.
