Wow

SAMSUNG 245BW 24" WUXGA 1920 x 1200 D-Sub, DVI-D LCD Monitor with Height Adjustment
SAMSUNG 245BW 24" WUXGA 1920 x 1200 D-Sub, DVI-D LCD Monitor with Height Adjustment

Pros: Amazing picture quality. Text is displayed very sharply, the black enclosure is glossy and attractive, games look incredible on this monitor!!

Cons: No HDMI input, no USB hub. The included cables (DVI-DVI, VGA-VGA) are a little too short, I have to buy a longer one to reach my computer comfortably.

Overall Review: I've been a CRT user for 15 years, including my previous monitor, the Sony GDM-FW900 24". I believed nothing could beat CRT for visual quality. This Samsung 245BW proves my wrong!!! I'm amazed at the sharpness of the screen, even at non-native resolutions. Games look incredible, with no ghosting or tearing. I have it hooked up to a GeForce 8800GTS 320MB graphics card, and it looks phenomenal under both Vista and Ubuntu. Highly recommended!!!

Great board

MSI P6N SLI-FI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
MSI P6N SLI-FI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Easy overclocking, had no problems booted up perfect the first time! I'm running Core 2 Duo E6420 @ 2.75GHz, no problems. I would go higher but I have stock cooling and a small-ish case. I have an EVGA 8800 GTS 320MB with 2GB OCZ Platinum RAM on Windows Vista, I love it!!

Cons: To disable C1E (so your multiplier doesnt get automatically adjusted by the BIOS) you have to hit 'F4' in the 'CPU Feature' menu, then change C1E to disable. The manual doesnt address this. Also, the northbridge heatsink is kinda flimsy and doesnt do that great a job of cooling. Oh well. 30% overclock is fine with me.

Overall Review: I didnt see any reason to get the Platinum over this board, and now that I've had it for a little more than a week, I'm glad I didnt pay for the Platinum version. As everyone already know, NewEgg rocks!!! I had *ALL* my parts 2 days after ordering! Love the Egg, I dont care if anyone beats the Egg on price, I'll keep buying from them.

AMAZING!

NETGEAR ReadyNAS Ultra 4-bay (diskless) w/ 3 yr warranty
NETGEAR ReadyNAS Ultra 4-bay (diskless) w/ 3 yr warranty

Pros: Debian Linux-based Dual GigE ports (bonded) Case construction: sleek metal enclosure, 80mm case fan Openness and community support Multitude of sharing protocols: NFS,CIFS,AFP,HTTP (DAV),iSCSI

Cons: None!

Overall Review: I comparison shopped for over a year, almost went with a Synology device before deciding on the RNDU4000 and I couldnt be happier. This machine does everything I want it to and more. It really is a little computer, but designed in a NAS form factor. The enclosure is the same sleek gray metal that Netgear uses for their switches and is perfect for this device. The software that ships with and is available for the Debian OS is top notch. Community addons such as Transmission and Cacti make this not only my home's filesharing device, but also the central server for torrent downloads and monitoring. I'm running this with 4 x Seagate Barracuda LP ST32000542AS 2TB 5900 and I see sustained 60-70MB/s reads/writes on large files. When transferring small files the speed drops quite a bit. The fan is not too loud at all, I have it sitting next to my monitor with no problems. I really can't recommend this device enough!

Great Drives for the Price

Seagate BarraCuda LP ST32000542AS 2TB 5900 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Low price, fast transfers and low RPM

Cons: None so far

Overall Review: I bought 4 of these, 1 of which was a combo deal with my Netgear ReadyNAS. I have them in a 4-bay RNDU4000 NAS device, formatted as a RAID5 volume giving me a little under 6TB. I've had the whole thing running 24x7 for a month now, and have had zero issues. The average temperature for the drives is from 30-35 degrees celcius. I've seen data transfers as fast as 95MB/s from this setup, but also as slow as 20MB/s when I'm copying a bunch of small files.

PC Power & Cooling ModXStream Pro Series 600 Watt 80+ Semi-Modular Active PFC Performance Grade ATX PC Power Supply (OCZ600MXSP)
PC Power & Cooling ModXStream Pro Series 600 Watt 80+ Semi-Modular Active PFC Performance Grade ATX PC Power Supply (OCZ600MXSP)

Pros: Modular! First modular PS I've owned and I love the flexibility. Also, all the wires out from the power supply are wrapped in that flexible sheath preventing all the individual wires from snagging on anything, and keeping things very neat. Also, the black on the power supply itself is really cool.

Cons: None

Pros: Runs as advertised, looks cool, price

Cons: None

Overall Review: I just ordered a second kit for my Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3. Currently have a 4gb kit, had to manually set the timings and frequency in the BIOS. Afterward, works properly.
