FinalCut Pro

Pros: HD quality is quite good under good lighting, even artificial such as flourescent. Now Final Cut Pro supports the HD format making editing a breeze.
Cons: Lens too small to capture quality video at HD resolutions. Picture can get noisy, and you need to keep the samera very still to keep the autofocus from going ape.
Overall Review: Chances are, if you've got FinalCut Studio, then you're not using this camera. This is just my screwing around camera that I don't use for production work. A camera chassis like this , with a lens like you get on the XL series by cannon, would make a world of difference.
This is a Fantastic Deal for the Price

Pros: All the people complaining that this is too expensive are either anti-Mac trolls, or just woefully uninformed. No, you can't build this machine for a third the price, and to the guy who suggested 2 C2Q's in a computer, good luck with that. It's extremely fast, 16GB of Ram can be had aftermarket for less than 400$ shipped, and you can get an ATI 3870 for about 200$ that offers excellent performance in applications. It's quite, it's fast, it's attractive, and it's very well designed/built. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this machine except for possibly the fact that you know eventually Apple will come out with an even faster Mac Pro.
Cons: There are none.
Overall Review: For the money, this is possible the best machine that you can buy or build depending on what you do.
Pricing

Pros: First of all, I'd like to say that when this machine was released, it was unbeatable by any manufacturer. I got the 2xDual Core 3.0 GHz which you couldn't even get anywhere else, but I'll tell you what, Dell charged over 5 grand for a machine with specs not unlike this one. This machine is a bargain.
Cons: None really. I would like redundant power supplies as I use mine as a server.
Overall Review: To all the people who say that you can build a better computer for this price, let's do the math. 2 Dual core 2.66 GHz XEONs will run you about $1550.00 as per Newegg's current pricing. The intel motherboard, which you can't even get, but an equivalent will cost you well over $500.00. A gig of FBDimms will run you about $60. A 1000W Power Supply? About 200$ or more. You've already surpassed the pric, and that's without a hard drive, case, or anything else that comes with the MacPro.
Decent.

Pros: It's about par for the course. E just got these in at work, and they are plenty powerful thanks to the dual Intel XEONs.
Cons: Form factor. Explain to me how Apple can get the same kit in a 1U for the same price? It also seems to generate a lot of heat. We had to beef up the cooling in the server room, and in the past, the 5160's have been some of the coolest CPU's I've had the pleasure to use.
Overall Review: If it weren't impossible to get support for a Server 2003 running on an XServe, I'm pretty sure I'd have gone with that option instead.
The OC Chip of the Year

Pros: This chip will easily hit 4.01 on air. I have a well ventilated case, and and good fan. With a 7900GTX mounted in the same case, the MB stays at 33-35C, and the Chip goes from 47C at idle, to about 58C at full load. I'm not just reciting what i read on Tom's Either, I had installed and OC'd this chip well before I even know that it was featured on Tom's.
Cons: There are none. It needs a good bit of power at 4.01GHz tho.
Overall Review: This chip will run with the best of the best. It's based on the P4EE core, so it's got legs for miles. Replace the stock cooler with a zalman or other decent phaze change, and it's off to the races.
Excellent Chip for OC

Pros: This thing is excellent, the guy with the 4.8 GHz claim is a bona fide liar as the core won't run on low enough voltage to clock it any higher than 3.98, but at 3.98GHz, I have this Processor, in an air-cooled ATX case running at 45 C at full load. For gaming, there really isn't anything that comes close to the performance you can squeeze out of this little guy at the same price point. And for anything other than gaming, you should probably be using a Macintosh.
Cons: 4GHz, for 150.00$? What cons?
Overall Review: Stick this on a good ASUS motherboard with an nVidia 6800 or faster GPU, and get ready for some serious gaming.
