Pros: Seems like it has every tool you could want for repairing electronic devices as advertised. Strong metal, too. Most of the bits are labeled with their size, so you can keep track of them easily.

Cons: The only "con" I've discovered is that some of the tools are hard to get out of the box/holder.

Overall Review: Really handy set of tools to repair electronics and small devices like phones, laptops, eyeglasses, etc.

Pros: I cloned my old 500 GB SSD drive to this 1TB one and then swapped the drives in my laptop. Worked fine. I've used it for a couple weeks and it seems fine, no problems so far. Note that a plus is that it doesn't need an external power supply type connector; I just used a USB-SATA/IDE cable/adaptor to connect it to my laptop.

Cons: Be aware that this is the SSD drive only, no other cables, hardware, or software. You will need to supply your own.

Overall Review: Recommend this SSD drive. Given today's environment, it no longer makes much sense to use a non-SSD drive in a laptop, what with cloud storage and all.

Pros: Easy to use, just set in the sun, plug in the devices you want and WAIT. Charging by the sun is slower than using a charger. It does have enough ports, though, so if you don't mind waiting, you can charge multiple devices. I find that I just charge a couple batteries during the day and use them to charge my phone, etc. at night. The packaging is good and the device folds up nicely with a pouch for spare cords. You could put it on your back as you hike and charge stuff.

Cons: Charging with the sun can be slow.

Overall Review: This is a nice addition to your emergency kit. I saw it in a wirecutter review and they outline the pros and cons nicely.

Pros: If you have used other Synology products, this one won't surprise you. It does what was advertised, has plenty of options to customize the router, and the basic setup was easy. The help file is better than most other Synology products I have used (mainly NAS) because it gives some ideas for how to use the option and choices. The router created a signal strong enough to reach places in our 3 story house that the previous router could not. I no longer need an extendor. The customization options cover everything I wanted, including VPN. The phone app works fine, but is limited mostly to status of the router and a few things you can check and/or change. One nice feature, among many, is that you can dim the LED lights on the front.

Cons: The biggest "con" to me is that the phone app does not allow you to start and/or stop a VPN connection. I hope they add that feature to the phone app. I haven't had any problems with the router itself or the router software. As others have noted, you may find that you need more network connection plugs to connect things -- I don't, however. I have a NAS and two printers.

Overall Review: This is a powerful and easy to use router, with many features and options. The software running it is better than most Synology software, especially because the help file is actually helpful. The phone app to monitor the router is fine for status checks, but lacks features to change much of anything.

Pros: I was upgrading from an older DiskStation (DS 214+) and wanted a similar product. This functions well for a home/small office NAS. I bought two 12TB hard drives, installed them easily, booted up the DiskStation, followed the guidance on the Synology web site to migrate from my old Synology NAS, and was up and running in a few hours. I used HyperBackup to do the migration, so I have a full backup in case I need any files on the new NAS. The price point is pretty good for this easy to set up and use NAS.

Cons: Synology DiskStations have a lot of features and software -- that's the good news. The bad news is that it takes some time and trial and error to figure out what each one does and how to use them. They are each easy to use once you have some experience with them, but it takes some effort to use them. The help system doesn't say WHY you would use a feature, but what it does. So sometimes some additional exploration on the Internet is more helpful.

Overall Review: I've had this system for a couple weeks. the Synology DiskStation DS220+ is a powerful NAS for any home/small office. It is easy to use with a lot of features and software included, but as with any full featured system, it can take some time and exploration to get it set up as you want. Once, you get the hang of it, though, it is pretty good. Each software program has the major features I want, but isn't as good as standalone, top-of-the-line software. I highly recommend it, on balance.

Pros: Works well, comfortable for long-time use. Didn't notice the problems other reviewers noticed.
