Most Favorable Review

I liked it so much I bought a second one!

KINGWIN KH-350U-BK Aluminum 3.5" IDE USB 2.0 Black External Enclosure
KINGWIN KH-350U-BK Aluminum 3.5" IDE USB 2.0 Black External Enclosure

Pros: The hard drive can be installed in under 2 minutes, the case is aluminum, the LEDs look cool, the case looks sweet, PRICE! Newegg/UPS got it to me in a timely manner

Cons: the four screws that secure the hard drive to the chassis poke out a little and will scratch things if you're not careful.

Overall Review: My first one had an 80gb WD caviar se hard drive in it, but i needed more storage so i put a 320gb WD caviar se in this one. Neither of them get hot at all even after hours of defragmenting or backing up with xcopy. Choose your hard drives wisely. Some get hotter than others. In my experience, pairing this enclosure with a WD caviar se series hard drive will yeild an external hard drive that is fast, quiet, cool, and cheap.

Overall Review: No output at all from on-board graphics. Everything else seems to work OK as long as you plug in a GPU Ryzen 3600, bios ver F11

simply amaxing...

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook PCMCIA Sound Card
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook PCMCIA Sound Card

Pros: An audigy 2 ZS... ...In your laptop! Runs flawlessly in my acer travelmate 8200.

Cons: Vulnerable to damage because it sticks out about an inch (it has to or the 3.5mm jacks wont fit) Will not play through notebook's built-in speakers! I dont reccomend using this with a low-end computer.

Overall Review: This thing is absolutely tight! I do a lot of recording and music production and the ASIO support really becomes indispensable. You can still use your onboard audio with the built-in speakers as long as you dont uninstall the onboard drivers.

Logitech G5 2-Tone 6 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser 2000 dpi Mouse
Logitech G5 2-Tone 6 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser 2000 dpi Mouse

Pros: Looks good Dpi controls on mouse Extremely smooth movement-much smoother than my friend's MX518 Mx5-series design Superb grip surface Weight package doubles as an ultra-deluxe altoid tin Polytetrafluoroethylene is a cool word

Cons: No forward button Tilting scroll wheel is pretty much useless, but i have Scroll wheel is very hard to push down on The whole deal with weights is a little gimmicky Not PnP

Overall Review: It's a good mouse, but it would be better if they used a normal scroll wheel and added the forward button. Mine came with a bad left mouse button so I'm RMAing. On a side note, some people may be experiencing problems with the back button and scroll wheel button not working. To correct this, simply go into the setpoint mouse settings and set the back and middle mouse button to 'generic button'

works fine

Portable Pencil Holder with Silver Clock Face and Logitech/Newegg Logo
Portable Pencil Holder with Silver Clock Face and Logitech/Newegg Logo

Pros: Umm, it works fine for all i can tell. It tells the time and date and temperature. It holds pencils, or pens, or the remote for the Z-5500's. And it was free!

Cons: Considering it was free, i have no complaints, except removing the plastic protective film from the lcd was a bit of a challange. I had to dismantle the clock to get to the display and peel it off then, but i put it back together and it works like a charm.

Overall Review: A practical product that was free and functional.

Not audiophile quality, but for the price...

Logitech Z-5500 505 Watts 5.1 Digital Speaker System
Logitech Z-5500 505 Watts 5.1 Digital Speaker System

Pros: Very low price for such an outstanding system. Speakers do have push terminals allowing you to use your own speaker wire if you wish (picture shows RCA jacks, but now they use push terminals). Control center has integrated DAC. Remote control included. Lots of power. Monsterous subwoofer. Good quality sound. Very versitile, wall-mountable sattellites. Good overall design.

Cons: Subwoofer is a little one-notey. Bass is not very clear, loose response. Subwoofer grill is a gong. Audible hum from subwoofer. As another reviewer mentioned there is a sticky spot in rotating the knob. A 196 KHz DAC would sound better. Buttons on control center are a little stiff, so you cant press them without supporting the control center. Sub design could be improved by use of internal cabinet bracing and thicker material. Seemingly narrow soundstage (depends on room acoustics, though) Center channel sound sometimes sounds localized, you can sometimes tell where its coming from and it doesnt blend well with the video. System can be a bit fatiguing to listen to at high volume levels. Heavy package.

Overall Review: These are worth every penny, IMO, but if you want audiophile-quality sound, keep saving for the promedia ultras. Overall I give it a 4 out of 5 because there are things logitech can do to improve this product with not much extra cost.
