Great looking Motherboard, Lots of room to expand
Pros: -RGB lights look fantastic -Plenty of fan headers -IO shield looks nice -Plenty of spots for my M.2 drives -Construction seems to be well built
Cons: -Heat shroud over the VRMs on the top of the motherboard sticks up REALLY far, which impedes putting large radiators above it in my case. (Phanteks Eclipse P400s) -The Gigabyte software is awful. I mean absolutely terrible.
Overall Review: I really liked the motherboard when I was building the computer. Plenty of expansion room. I also love how the PCI slots are reinforced. Until I tried to change the RGB light colors. The gigabyte software is one of the worst I've used. It's absolutely terrible. It constantly crashes, half the time the lighting "module" in the software won't open and when it does it doesn't always change the color of the RGBs or it just crashes in the middle of customizing. You have to install EVERY PART of the software separately, depending on what you want the motherboard to do. Meanwhile you're doing that Gigabyte tries to fill your computer with random bloatware. Gigabyte will also try and install the bloatware every single time you update the software.
Would not recommend at the current state
Pros: - Fast RAM - Good Construction - RGB Lights Looked great when they worked
Cons: -Software is pretty bad - Lights no longer works on one stick - Pricey at the current state of the hardware
Overall Review: Everything worked great for the first 2 months of using the RAM, until one stick randomly went dark and never came back. Tried everything under the sun to fix it. Also the software wasn't even available until recently, and was released in "Beta". The software crashes randomly and doesn't always change the color that you set it to. (When they both worked) At this current moment, I cannot recommend anyone buy this product until the fix the issues.
Good Pump, Terrible software
Pros: -Mirror and lights looks great -Great build quality
Cons: -The software. -Lots of reports of these things failing after 3 months and NZXT won't RMA it without the original packaging. -Pricey
Overall Review: At the current price, I would not recommend this product. Wait about a year or until all of the bugs are worked out. The CAM software ranks up there with the Gigabyte software for Worst Software 2017. I have to log in to manage my pump colors. Don't have internet? Then the software won't open automatically. The temps that it displays are not correct, and you have to download separate "modules" for the Kraken. It also DOES NOT work well with other RGB lighting software. So be warned. It's a buggy, awful mess and there's no way around it.
Pros: -Fast. 4.2 out of the box -Great upgrade from my 8150. -Unlocked and overclockable
Cons: None for me (Silicon lottery winner probably.)
Overall Review: People have complained about heat issues when overclocking, or heat spiking. This chip does heat spike when you first open software (and I mean BRIEFLY. You wouldn't catch it unless you were looking) but then drops right back down. I'm using the new Kraken 280mm cooler, and the temps idle around 30 C for me, load usually goes up to around 55 C. Maybe I just got really lucky!
Great Looking Case, Awesome to build in
Pros: -The case with the Glass looks really good -Construction of the case is superb -Love the dust covers, foam inserts on the inside of the covers -RGB lighting is "ok" at best -Love the rubber bushings that keep you from scratching the tempered glass
Cons: -No software to change case lighting, you can only change it with the button on the outside of the case. -The RGB lights seems a bit dull, 1 of the LEDs on the front has recently and suddenly gone darker than the others -Not much room for a top mounted radiator. BEWARE! If you have a 280mm Radiator (Like the Kraken) it will not fit anywhere but the front of the case. -Hard to keep GPU temps down in this case compared to my old Be Quiet! case. I have 5 fans.
Overall Review: I've been using this case for the past 4 months, and so far I like it. The construction is nice, the tempered glass is tinted juussst right. The dust covers and filters are nice as well. But there seems to be a lot of difficulties with cooling my GPU. Having 5 fans (2 140s, 3 120s - 2 on the front, 2 on the top, 1 on the back) my GPU constantly climbs to high temps unless I take the front face cover off. Overall good case.
Great monitor, when I can get it to display anything
This monitor was the most expensive monitor I have purchased, but decided to pull the trigger as it had everything I wanted. The picture quality is phenomenal and the curve is barely noticeable. But there is one very big issue, the monitor doesn’t always work. If the monitor goes to sleep it stops working. The monitor will turn on and show that it’s plugged in, but it won’t show any picture. If you unplug it, it shows “Check cable” and that’s it. This seems to be an ongoing issue with this model and honestly it’s a huge deal for the price.
