Great fan splitter

Silverstone All Black Sleeved 1-3 PWM Fan Splitter Cable 100 mm (CPF02)
Silverstone All Black Sleeved 1-3 PWM Fan Splitter Cable 100 mm (CPF02)

Pros: -Sleeved cables are very pleasing to the eye. No ketchup and mustard wires here! -Supports PWM so fan speed can be better adjusted for quiet operation. -Can use all three connectors without worry of overloading the PWM circuit

Cons: -Not really a con, more of an oversight on my part but it is one solid cable with three female connectors along it. Not one male connector with three female leads coming off like I had thought. But like I said not really a con.

Overall Review: Will be using this splitter for future builds again. Solid build quality for cheap.

Most Critical Review

It's a PSU i guess

Athena Power AP-P4ATX60FEP8 20+4Pin 600W Server Power Supply - 80 PLUS Bronze
Athena Power AP-P4ATX60FEP8 20+4Pin 600W Server Power Supply - 80 PLUS Bronze

Pros: -Dual fans are perfect for the 2U chassis it is going in -Wallet friendly

Cons: -NOT 80 Plus Bronze Certified! There is no stamping anywhere to verify this claim other than in the name. -Only the 24pin connector is sleeved. -Molex pins are SUPER loose in the connector (have to be extra delicate with the already fragile connector style)

Overall Review: Honestly I'm not wanting to put this into the server. I believe that the SeaSonic SS-500ES would have been a much better option even though its 100W less, and will probably maintain efficiency longer anyway. I feel as if this is a case of false advertising, buyer beware.

Cheap entry into Kaby Lake

ASRock B250M-HDV LGA 1151 Intel B250 SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX Motherboards - Intel
ASRock B250M-HDV LGA 1151 Intel B250 SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX Motherboards - Intel

Pros: -Paid about $65ish for it. -Comes with one M.2 Slot -Great looking board to be so inexpensive

Cons: -Packaging seems a tad weak, its a very snug fit in the box with not a lot of protection around it. -Advanced mode of the UEFI is MUCH better than the standard one the comes up initially

Overall Review: -Used this board with a Pentium G4600 CPU which made for a rock solid system. My customer couldn't be happier!

I've built in 3 of these cases.

DIYPC MA01-G Black/Green USB 3.0 Micro-ATX Mini Tower Gaming Computer Case with Dual Fans
DIYPC MA01-G Black/Green USB 3.0 Micro-ATX Mini Tower Gaming Computer Case with Dual Fans

Pros: -inexpensive -sleek looking -small tower for tight spaces

Cons: -case feels a little flimsy, but hey I paid $19 for it. -all of the cases came with a hole in the box but one had a dent in the side panel (comes packaged in a very thin single wall box.) -need a 5.24" to 3.5" sled to mount mechanical drives in effectively.

Overall Review: -If you are throwing a computer together for a cheap office build, or for the grandparents to browse facebook with then this is an excellent case. Just wish that they were packaged a little better.

0 out of 4 are good odds right?

HITACHI/HGST Ultrastar HUA723020ALA641 2TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache SATA III (6.0GB/S) 3.5" (Enterprise, Self-Encrypting) Hard Drive - w/1 Year Warranty
HITACHI/HGST Ultrastar HUA723020ALA641 2TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache SATA III (6.0GB/S) 3.5" (Enterprise, Self-Encrypting) Hard Drive - w/1 Year Warranty

Pros: -They were well priced and well spec'd. -Shipped fast

Cons: -Ordered 4 and NONE of them worked. Two were COMPLETELY dead, and the other two couldn't be detected by windows. -My client's $4000 rush server upgrade job is now going to be delayed.

Overall Review: -Not the sellers fault, should have went with WD Red drives instead. I have heard good things about these drives thats why I tried them.

A budget stunner!

Corsair Carbide Series 100R Silent Edition CC-9011077-WW Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (Power Supply Not Included)
Corsair Carbide Series 100R Silent Edition CC-9011077-WW Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (Power Supply Not Included)

Pros: -Very sleek and clean outside design -Sound dampening material on side panels as well as the top. -Sturdy build quality (feels better than most $100 cases I've built in)

Cons: -Back cable management is a little slim, could be hard to hide a bulk of cables. (Not worth docking an egg about) -Finish is a finger print magnet (comes with the territory though)

Overall Review: -Would recommend this case for the budget builder, because it can accommodate any system from a facebooker to a serious gaming rig.
