Love it!

AMD Phenom II X3 710 - Phenom II X3 Triple-Core 2.6 GHz Socket AM3 95W Processor - HDX710WFGIBOX
AMD Phenom II X3 710 - Phenom II X3 Triple-Core 2.6 GHz Socket AM3 95W Processor - HDX710WFGIBOX

Pros: This is the best drop in upgrade for the AM2(+) platform. Period. It runs as cool as my 45 watt BE-2400 did (20c-mid twenties with a scythe ninja mini), the performance difference is very noticeable between this and even an overclocked Phenom based 7750 @ 3.0ghz at stock clocks. It's overclocking capability is yet to be fully realized, right now, holding steady at 3.12ghz with just a quick FSB bump. All three cores are very responsive to my heavy multitasking, gaming experience is also much better now (especially with cpu intensive GTA4).

Cons: The stock heatsink is what some might consider dinky (although it is better than the original stock AMD aluminum heatsink), I feel it is only adequate, especially for the price of this processor. Three cores will (almost) always lose out to four in multithreaded benchmarks, three will (almost) always lose to two in clock frequency benchmarks.

Overall Review: No regrets about getting it. Bottom line; for real world performance, the odd one out is the best value in.

So good it's got me giddy.

GIGABYTE GV-R585D5-1GD-B Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card w/ATI Eyefinity
GIGABYTE GV-R585D5-1GD-B Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card w/ATI Eyefinity

Pros: This is the real deal, awesome power, awesome price. Add reasonable power consumption and heat. And that's before all of the extra features like DX11, etc.

Cons: Looks like the batmobile, no wait that's another pro!

Overall Review: For a 1920x1200 resolution, this is unbeatable. Any resolution below it and you've got insane overkill and going above this resolution you really have more money to spend on a ludicrous system. The next gen nvidia offerings better be good if they want to keep up.

Awesomesauce!

Polk Audio Monitor 30 Black Two-way bookshelf loudspeaker Pair
Polk Audio Monitor 30 Black Two-way bookshelf loudspeaker Pair

Pros: So I unpacked these and fired them up with an Onkyo TX-SR606 I just got and compared to the HTIB I had, I was blown away. Now I'm not exactly an audiophile, but these have some great sound reproduction (crisp, clear) and the soundstage is great I could swear that there was a center channel speaker! I'm sure these will sound even better once I break them in and Bi-amp them.

Cons: Needs to be paired with a subwoofer.

Overall Review: Good set of speakers, can't wait to feed them some decent material and then get some surrounds and a good sub to complement them.

Good enough for new build

AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 - Athlon 64 X2 Kuma Dual-Core 2.7 GHz Socket AM2+ 95W black edition Processor - AD775ZWCGHBOX
AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 - Athlon 64 X2 Kuma Dual-Core 2.7 GHz Socket AM2+ 95W black edition Processor - AD775ZWCGHBOX

Pros: It's a phenom! clocks to 3ghz+, great price. Unlocked Mult. Gives you AM2+ options Not a monster overclocker, mine struggled to go past

Cons: Runs warm, ~32c compared to mid twenties for my phenom 710 rated at the same 95w. Dinky heatsink, especially for a Black Edition Not a monster overclocker, mine struggled to go past 3.1ghz Not *wow* faster than old K8 X2 processors.

Overall Review: It is worth it to go from an older single core to this processor for the purposes of upgrading. If you have an X2, go with something a little higher.

Go G*Skill!

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ

Pros: Great ram for the price, 4gb is all most people will need and this is the ram to get. I've gotten 3 sets for various projects. Works out of the box at the right settings on my motherboards. Runs cool, even for ram. Heatspreaders look great! I've gotten them to 990mhz (effective) with a 0.1v bump but ymmv when going beyond manufacturer specs.

Cons: 64-bit for full realization of 4gb prowess.

Overall Review: Worth it.

It works.... and well.

PowerColor Radeon HD 4830 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card AX4830 512MD3-H
PowerColor Radeon HD 4830 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card AX4830 512MD3-H

Pros: Worked out of the box, drives a 37" 1080p display. Everything is smooth, display scaling worked well, the best part of it is that it games very well for the intended purposes. Have not been able to run a dedicated set of tests, but should tear through most any game on a 1920x1080 or below resolution. Oh yeah, and it is under $100!

Cons: Lacks hdtv out for those who don't have hdmi connection. Relatively loud stock fan. No accessories, I don't think it even came with a molex to 6-pin pci-e adapter.

Overall Review: Time will tell with the rebate, Heat is well under control (54ish load, 43 idle) (46 load, 38 idle w/ TR HR-03 GT) in a very badly ventilated case. Copper slugs on ram and volt regulators is a plus! Good item, undeniable performance for the price.
