Powerful Little Unit

Pros: Compact, Powerful, Easy Setup, Can Play Games
Cons: None, so far.
Overall Review: I have worked both with the NUC and the BRIX from Gigabyte and, with this gen (based on Intel's 5th gen procs), I prefer the NUCs from Intel over the BRIX for a number of reasons. After putting each together I noticed the construction and layout of the internal components of the NUC is done a little smarter than the BRIX. The hard drive cage on the cap of the NUC has a really nice, slide-in, so the hard drive just snaps into place like a hot swap external drive. The brix on the other hand uses a proprietary SATA connector which feels flimsy and must be jimmied into place. BRIX of the latest gen use MSATA versus the more recent M.2 standard that the NUCs use. Its not a big deal either way but I prefer to use the latest standard. The big thing for me is the CPUs that these units use. If you look at the BRIX line compared to the NUCs, you will notice that similar systems use slightly different model CPUs. Notice that an i7 brix will use a different CPU than an i7 NUC. The NUC's i7 is actually a better proc than the one BRIX uses. Its not a huge difference, but when you compare both units and them being a similar price point, the NUC wins out. Its like Intel saved the better procs for their own units :)
Good in the Right Cicumstances

Pros: Simple to set up, No licensing fees, Enterprise grade reliability, Tons of Features
Cons: Under Powered, May not work reliably with all 'supported' software packages.
Overall Review: I have deployed a number of Synology NAS devices from the high end to the low end of the catalog, which the DS214se firmly fits in. For the most part I have been happy with them. On the bright side the high end and low end devices both run the same OS. In short you have the ability to do just about anything with the cheap NASs that you can with the rack mount ones we use in the data center. BUT...and as I found out recently its a big BUT: In these low-end devices start to show their lack of power when you attempt to use some of the more advanced features of the Synology OS. We discovered this as we attempted to set up file syncronization between two DS214se NASs only to find the under-powered hardware could not keep up. Our client had a 400GB file store that needed to be syned between their offices. That is not massive by today's standards but still its a large chunk of data. Both the 'Cloud Station' and 'BitTorrent Sync' packages ate up all available system resources and the process would grind to a halt. The last chance we had was the Cloud Sync package which allows syncing between the NAS and a cloud provider like Dropbox. Thankfully, this seems to be working for us, however it was very disappointing that the two packages that were free did not. Now we are forced to pay a monthly fee. Anyway, Synology should know about stuff like this and tell users of their low end devices that they may not work with these packages if their shares are over 'x' gigabytes.
Cool Sound But Not Comfortable

Pros: + Neat lights + Cool base effects + Nice In-Line Remote
Cons: - Ear cups do not fit snugly against head - Top part of band has nasty pressure point on the top of my skull making these unwearable for even short periods.
Overall Review: These phones have some potential but the fit ruins them. If they did not come free as part of a package deal, I would have returned them for a refund without hesitation.
Poor Support, Radio Silence on AM4 Bracket, Avoid if you have a Ryzen chip.

Pros: None, cannot use it.
Cons: NZXT support phone disconnected, opened ticket for AM4 bracket but have yet to get a response. Been almost a week after purchase and this one piece of metal is holding up my entire build.
Overall Review: Really regretting buying this thinking they would be able to get me the promised part in an efficient manner
Does not work with GA-AX370 motherboard.

Pros: + Big + Manly + Can add another fan
Cons: - Not compatible with GA-AX370. Will not fit with all ram slots occupied
Overall Review: I think I saw another review of an AM4 motherboard with the same issue. While the hardware may fit the socket type beware. My ram was so close to the socket that this cooler would not fit. Returning.
Overall Great Machine

Pros: - Fast - Tons of Features - Reliable
Cons: - Expensive - Requires desktop apps to administrate
Overall Review: Overall I think this is a great machine, had it up and running on our network being used by five paralegals scanning hundreds of docs into our CRM in a matter of an hour.
Good Customer Service
Had bad luck with two adapters but they replaced them both swiftly. Overall would buy from again.
