Older Model is Better - but you have to get it to know which you have

Pros: Heavy and solid, my first one has lasted 2 years and is still fine Adjustable brightness Satisfying clicky keys and ergonomic design Low price Well placed keyless area for using thumb to pick it up, if you're right handed
Cons: Newer model is less appealing but there's no way to know which you'll get No manufacturer support if you need it Lighting features are undocumented, some are a bit silly (I'm not a gamer) One key is misprinted, [{ label is in reversed to {[, but who cares. No wrist rest (which I would not use anyway)
Overall Review: This is a review of the older model by a non-gamer. I got the newer model from another seller recently and sent it back because it did not turn on (DOA). I would not have kept it anyway because the new clicky sound was all wrong. My 1st was from elsewhere 2 years ago, and this one from Newegg was luckily the older model. The newer model has corrected the misprinted label and has changed many of the symbols on other keys, about which I am neutral. There is no other model identification that I can see. The look-and-feel, and the weight, are excellent. This is my favorite keyboard. Mine came with a small instruction sheet that outlines the function key features in Chinglish. I had to write my own reference sheet for the lighting options, but I never change the lighting anyway. The "right-bracket" key label is backwards: it shows "}]" but it should show "]}", but this is a nit. There is one keyless area with the manufacturer logo perfectly placed for right-handers to pick up the keyboard, which I do constantly. Some complain backlit logo is too bright, but you can turn it off or even better tape over it for a better grip, since that is the spot used to pick it up one-handed. I hope that a future model returns the old click sound , or that the my current pair last forever. At this low price, I should buy some spares.
Lasted 8 months

Pros: Simple functionality
Cons: Died too soon
Overall Review: Used it twice daily for 8 months, then the on switch started failing. A month later no amount of jiggling could get the switch to the on position.
I like Dyson so far
The package arrived as expected and everything works like new. It's heavy and took some trial and error to figure it out, but the power is worth it. Dyson seems to take itself seriously.
