Excellent TV

Auria 26" 720p LCD HDTV
Auria 26" 720p LCD HDTV

Pros: Excellent Display. After you tweak the contrast and brightness, the display is quite good. Picture is crisp, colors are great, everything works fine. The sound is nice too. Selecting input is easy, changing settings is easy, everything about it is great. I use this TV for my PS3 Slim with HDMI input, my Wii with Component input, my PS2 with Composite input. Everything looks just as it should. Absolutely worth the price, I don't get any compression artifacts or bad display colors like one reviewer talked about.

Cons: The settings needed quite a bit of adjustment when I got it. Every input (VGA, HDMI, component, etc..)was set to like max contrast with no brightness. This caused the picture to display all relatively dark colors as black and all light colors as white. If you reduce the contrast to about half and increase brightness to a little more than half on all the inputs the picture looks fine, but the settings as they are out off the box make things look pretty bad. Other than that easily fixable problem, the TV has no cons.

Overall Review: Absolutely great deal. The $250 price tag is a steal for how good of a TV this is.

Incredible Notebook

ASUS W90 Series 18.4" Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 6GB Memory Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit 90NQXA3931CB8KQL450Y
ASUS W90 Series 18.4" Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 6GB Memory Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit 90NQXA3931CB8KQL450Y

Pros: This notebook is incredible! The performance you get out of it is amazing. I am able to play Crysis, GTA4, World in Conflict, Dawn of War 2, and Empire Total War all at around 40+ frames per second, in 1920X1080 (Which is the monitor's max resolution) All of my other games get frame rates way above that. The touchscreen controls around the keyboard are nice, and the speakers are pretty good for notebook speakers. Everything works as intended. The Processor, RAM, and Video Card all perform very well. The included Bluetooth mouse is really responsive. One of the coolest features of this notebook are the ASUS made power modes that you switch to by using the touchscreen button or Fn+Spc. The overclocking power setting successfully made my processor more powerful by about 10%, making it a 2.2GHz Quad core. I know it was successful, because it raised my processor's scores in 3dMark06 noticeably. If you're looking for a great gaming laptop, look no further, this is the one for y

Cons: Touchscreen volume slider next to keyboard is bad for making minor adjustments to volume, it's easier to just use the function key + F11 or F12. As others have said, ASUS doesn't really update the video drivers too often, in fact, pretty rarely. This is a con, but not a huge one. With the drivers you get from their website, you already get amazing performance as I stated in my pros. A 320GB hard drive is kind of small, but I also got a 750 GB MyBook external hard drive from western digital for a good price, so that problem is solved.

Overall Review: The CryoLX cooling tray from NZXT works like a dream with this laptop, it keeps it a good 20-30 degrees cooler even when under stress. However, if you buy that cooler you're going to have a slightly tough time fitting everything in the backpack. I got the TOSHIBA Black with Silver accents 18.4" Gaming Backpack Model PA1453U-1BG8 as a backup backpack and that fits everything even better than the original backpack does, only its not as protective.
