Best Bang for the Buck!

EVGA GeForce GTX 480 (Fermi) 1536MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 015-P3-1480-RX
EVGA GeForce GTX 480 (Fermi) 1536MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 015-P3-1480-RX

Pros: +Super fast and runs over 70fps+ In Crysis2 and BF:BC2 @ 1080p- and WAY faster in other older games. +Tesselation and fast shaders - more bumps and shadows than your old card. + No SLI studders or driver issues. +Uses LESS watts than my old GTX280 SLI setup, and quieter. + EVGA offers a "Precision" Software tool that allows you to overclock and set fan settings - runs cools and lets me run a stable overclock - crushes every game I have. +ONE of these is More power than a GTX460 SLI setup +The DDR5 and 1.5gig of memory has perfect amount of memory for my 1900x1080p monitor, and also runs two other 1200x1000 monitors for gadgets & messengers. + Im really happy with this and is the best bang for the buck! Way better deal than a 560ti or 470 - way more power than any AMD/ATi +No need for a 2nd card for dedicated physx processor - this eats up physx faster while running two screens than having a 9800GTX for physx. + Does NOT run hot like its reputation.

Cons: - Benchmarked LOWER in Futuremark than 2x GTX280's in SLI - those still have enough power to not justify this upgrade. - Really requires an ample powersupply. My 1000w Silverstone ST-1000 died after a few months. - Uses more wattage than most cards, but performs accordingly. This card is a very good balance of price/power. - In FutureMark 2011 you will want another in SLI or Tri-SLI. This single 480 needed some help, even with a 6-core AMD @4ghz. - Ya might wanna add a few more 120mm case fans in there Brah'

Overall Review: I did a lot of homework before I bought this. It really is a card I'm happy with. You will find it is better to have the 1.5 gigs of DDR5 over the 1 gig cards. This has more shaders than the 560/460 and more memory than the 470/570's for the same price. EVGA and Newegg are very supportive with these products, and your buying a good one from good companies. Get yourself a good foundation, a good quality Powersupply and good surge protector. Once you download EVGA Precision you will find yourself no longer shopping for video cards, this is more than enough.

**AVOID**

OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2 series PCI-E 240GB PCI-Express 2.0 x4 MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) RVD3X2-FHPX4-240G
OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2 series PCI-E 240GB PCI-Express 2.0 x4 MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) RVD3X2-FHPX4-240G

Pros: PCIe SSD, crazy fast. Mine benchmarked at 900+mb/s Loaded Battlefield3 about 1 second faster than Crusial M4 SSD (Sata)

Cons: -self destructs. -1st one lasted 3 months -RMA replacement lasted 2 months, even with 120mm fan over it. These run 70'c on the controller, and burn themself up. -This SSD will not work on many motherboards. Not compatible. I had to buy all new Mobo and RAM to get this to work. - adds 30 seconds to boot. It has to initialize

Overall Review: After the second burned up, OCZ did not honor their 3 year warranty for the replacement. I was told to update the BIOS on it and firmware. The PC can't find it. No way to update it. Even by bypassing windows via bootdisk. Do you think $500+ for a few months of fast storage is worth it? Shame on you OCZ for pushing this garbage on the public. poor quality product.

Worth it

AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor

Pros: Fast. I just retired an AMD 1090t six core. Noticeably + Boots "instantly" with Crusial M4 SSD C: + Battlefield 3 seems to load faster, and gained 12fps + runs cooler than expected. 16c with 120mm Cooler Master V8 at idle. + this overclocks as well as a new FX9370, and this CPU will drop right in ANY AM3+ motherboard. The FX9370 requires a BIOS update

Cons: Not up to par with new intel CPU's New AMD tech = 2 generation old Intel. 32nm construction not 22nm

Overall Review: I'm happy with this CPU. Despite the reviews and comparison benchmarks, this IS a fast cpu! The extra cores are not really needed for most apps. An FX 6350 is still a strong CPU for a lot less money.

A++ Worth it - Nice board

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Bought this board because my OCZ Revodrive 3 PCI-e SSD wont work with most Asus motherboards, and mostly all AMD driven mobo's Normally I complain a lot, but simply put, this is a really nice board. + Sick black makes haters hate. Stealth mobo scares opponents. + Works with all kinds of video cards, and memory, and overclocks like childsplay. + works with all kinds of SSD boot drives, including PCI-e OCZ Revodrive3's + On-board sound is almost as good as Soundblaster, and 80% as good as my Xonar + Loads of PCIe16x and 4x and PCI slots. + BIOS has tons of adjustments and is easy to work, and back up BIOS settings, and holds more than 10 settings + setup and got PC up and running in an hour. + "feels faster"

Cons: - Bios looks old skool compared to UEFI BIOS. No mouse control. - Needs one or two more fan plugs - Letters are upside down in my Lian Li mid tower case.

Overall Review: Screw Intel. Buy it. Its worth the dough

SSD for experienced hobbiests

OCZ RevoDrive 3 series PCI-E 240GB PCI-Express 2.0 x4 MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) RVD3-FHPX4-240G
OCZ RevoDrive 3 series PCI-E 240GB PCI-Express 2.0 x4 MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) RVD3-FHPX4-240G

Pros: +Faster than any SATA2 or SATA3 drive. This drive loads at 1gb/sec and makes just about everything pop up instantly. + Installing software and loading games takes less time now. +Bootable PCI-e SSD with 220+gigs of available storage. Enough to fit lots of games and video with high speed access. +Build in on-board RAID0 controller for 1gb/second read, and 350+ mb/s using Crystalmark. +$199 price is great for 240gig at the time I wrote this +OCZ phone staff and email respond quick and professional - multiple ways of getting help. + no 'ticking' noise of my old WD Raptors grinding away working on loading.

Cons: - only for experienced enthusiasts. It took me HOURS, days to get this to work, and required me having to buy newer motherboard and memory. - Old Asus Motherboards and OCZ Revodrive3 don't play well with eachother. Make sure you know if your current, or future motherboard is compatible before you become frustrated. - The drivers they ship with on the CD are Nov 2011 and won't work with the 2012 firmware that came on my unit. It took HOURS to figure this out and download the new drivers to my phone, then use the SD to start the WIN7 install. - You'll have to be master of your BIOS. I had to retire my WD Raptor RAID0 array, because OCZ revo can't have a another RAID going at the same time. Better backup your C:!! - I was hoping booting to WIN7 would be faster. Its not. You wait for the drive to initialize. And BF3, only slightly faster, about 2 seconds difference from what I timed over the mechanical Raptors hardrives. - Heat. The controller on runs as hot as a video card.

Overall Review: Once I got the new Gigabyte 990FXA installed, installing win7 only took a few hours to figure out the software was the problem. It took the normal amount of time for a clean install to get the updates and and programs all installed, since an image off a RAID array does not work on a Revodrive. For all this, its worth it, and it is faster and has bragging rights. I wouldn't go back to HDD for C: - I've only had it working for a day or two, so I haven't loaded much software or games that really show any speed difference. Yet.

good memory

Patriot LX Series 16GB Class 10 Micro SDHC Flash Card Model PSF16GMCSDHC10
Patriot LX Series 16GB Class 10 Micro SDHC Flash Card Model PSF16GMCSDHC10

Pros: 16gb MicroSD card for your Android. Fits all your music and photos and Apps on, with room to spare. 10 speed rating is WAY faster - and 'feels' faster doing everything. Now no wait to load podcasts or any large (100mb+) music or video compared to my old 4gb class 4 memory. This was only $9.99 after rebate!

Cons: -Mail in Rebate has tons of rules and dates. - Most of my Android Apps store on the phone, not the SD card. - If it fails, patriot does have a good warranty, but sends you what ever they have on hand, not the same model or speed you send them.

Overall Review: I was originally shopping for a class 10 32gb MicroSD, but bought this 1/4 the price. Newegg is less expensive than Eb_y, and my order came within 72 hours, with free shipping! I love NewEgg!
