sweet!!!

Klipsch Reference RW-12d 12" Powered Subwoofer Each w/ New box
Klipsch Reference RW-12d 12" Powered Subwoofer Each w/ New box

Pros: Tight, Full, Powerful, Musical. Settings for auto power on and volume control, crossover,eq, phase all digitally controlled on the top of the sub. (can control these with a remote if wanted) nice looking cabinet. SOUND did I mention that. Amazing deal for this quality of a sub (Product Spotlight)

Cons: This was my third one. First one damaged with one of the feet and the wood of the cabinet damaged. The second had a damaged box so we rejected from UPS. The nice people at Newegg hooked me up, I would of been mad if I had to keep it damaged. Thanks. Makes me wonder if these are a damaged stock?? Others have complained about similar damage. I wish Klipsch used better quality feet for the cabinet. Not sure about plastic for a sub this heavy. I bought a RCA splitter for connecting to my receiver, not sure why they have left and right when most sub outs are single RCA.

Overall Review: The sub is just great and I am glad that I got the damage thing resolved. It is a great upgrade from my other Klipsch ProMedia and SWS subs. I am using it with the Klipch RSX-4, RCX-4 and the Sherwood Netboxx. All connected to my computer digitally using the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional over SPDIF. This is the best setup I have had so far. Watched The Matrix, the helicopter crash was amazing!!!! There are better subs out there of course but you can't beat this deal.

Most Critical Review

2 RMA's in 1 year

CORSAIR DOMINATOR 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-8500C5D
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-8500C5D

Pros: I love the memory when it works, fast and remains cool design is great

Cons: I just filed RMA for the second time on this RAM. I never overclocked the RAM at all and remain on default voltages. Each time one stick is dead and the first time I couldn't even get to the BIOS to test the memory. This time I can test with Memtest86+ and Win Memory Tester... fails every test. Memtest86 is a sea of red errors on one stick and clean on the other. Well the sticks are in pairs so I have to return both

Overall Review: I am honestly unhappy. I do not have a spare set of memory for DDR2 since it is in my Server machine so I had to borrrow SLOW DD2 from work. This memory has been my worst memory experience since I started building machines. I tested both sticks when I received the RMA the first time and it passes all tests. HOW??? does memory just fail after less than 6 months of use? I have great temps in my case and purchased this case just for it's airflow. I'm afraid to use this again to keep sending it back. I feel like I should buy 2 sets, install them and if one fails RMA till the cows come home. Corsair just give me two sticks that will last PLEASE!!!!

just what I needed...

Thermaltake BlacX ST0005U External Hard Drive SATA Enclosure Docking Station 2.5" & 3.5" USB 2.0 & eSATA
Thermaltake BlacX ST0005U External Hard Drive SATA Enclosure Docking Station 2.5" & 3.5" USB 2.0 & eSATA

Pros: can be used on both 3.5 and 2.5 drives, eSata, USB2. Perfect cable length for both of my machines. Decent speeds for a USB2 device. Power button, good size activity/power light

Cons: None so far. I would say it is not as efficient as my older Firewire enclosure but pretty close to the same performance for the kind of data I am moving. I haven't connected eSata since my current setup doesn't have eSata ports. I imagine I won't have any issues.

Overall Review: I love these devices and this is my second one. I have one on a Linux Server through SMB. I moved many of my drives to XFS and this allows me to use many of my older FAT/NTFS drives on the fly. I use to have a spare long cable and use to unplug and open my case to connect these drives. Never again. I had one issue with one drive not working on the Linux machine but this same drive worked no problems on my Win7 machine. I'd would honestly still be pulling my hair out of my head if this device was never designed. Thanks Thermaltake. I was going to go for a USB3 model but the data throughput is sufficient for my current needs. If you are still doing what I use to do, stop now and get one or more of these devices. You won't regret it.

using it on a router

Cooler Master Notepal U1 Laptop / Netbook Cooling Pad, up to 14" (1 x 80mm Configurable Fan)
Cooler Master Notepal U1 Laptop / Netbook Cooling Pad, up to 14" (1 x 80mm Configurable Fan)

Pros: Small and just the perfect size for what I needed. It's pretty quiet even with all my computers off. I love that you can move the fan to where ever you need it. I kept my in the stock position. Good cable length for my application. See my other thoughts for how I am using it.

Cons: None so far.... and I hope never

Overall Review: I am using this on a Cisco Dual Band Wireless Router that many users reported getting too hot. I ordered this day one because I felt it was a great idea that others suggested. Once positioned correct it keeps the router at off temps to maybe a few degrees above off temps. Best purchase because I can always use this on another device in the future.

Great Deal - Runs Warm

LINKSYS E3000 Wireless Router simultaneous Dual Band Gigabit 802.11a/b/g/n 2.4GHz / 5GHz up to 300Mbps with USB Built-in UPnP AV Media Server
LINKSYS E3000 Wireless Router simultaneous Dual Band Gigabit 802.11a/b/g/n 2.4GHz / 5GHz up to 300Mbps with USB Built-in UPnP AV Media Server

Pros: Linksys/Cisco name, Gigabit, 2.4 and 5Hz radio, simultaneous dual band, USB port. Ability to load Tomato or DD-WRT, nice design. Pretty stable standard software (good enough to get you started) Decent range compared to my previous single band Netgear wireless N.

Cons: It gets pretty hot but not so hot that you can't touch it. See my other thoughts. None so far but I am sort of new to these dual band routers so I still need more time to discover cons if any. Decent range throughout my house with exceptions to one trouble spot (I've never found a router that will solve that trouble spot)

Overall Review: First off the heating issue, yes it gets warm but mine never got too warm. I have mine on top of a small bookcase as that has always been the best location for wireless (in my house). I could see if it was in another location where it could get even hotter. With the money I saved on the Shell Shocker deal, I bought the Cooler Master Notepal U1 to cool it down (Item #: N82E16834997817) it works great and hopefully I will use this on all my routers going forward. It is 24. for the pad but it doubles as a stand. It cools it down to the point were it feels like it is not even on. Best thing I ever did for the router. I spent a little more yes, but in the end I feel it will last longer. I can always use this cooling pad for other things down the road. At some point I would like to load Tomato. I think I will be waiting for the warranty to run out before I move to that. Buy the combo or add on the cooling pad, you won't regret it. Good luck...

so far so good

Pioneer Black 12X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 5X DVD-RAM 8X BD-ROM 4MB Cache SATA Blu-ray Burner BDR-206BKS
Pioneer Black 12X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 5X DVD-RAM 8X BD-ROM 4MB Cache SATA Blu-ray Burner BDR-206BKS

Pros: Pioneer quality and features. All black face plate. Came with software which is great for OEM. Plays all my Blu-ray movies with no issues.

Cons: not sure of any yet. I updated it to the latest firmware 105

Overall Review: I haven't burned with it but I imagine it will work fine. No Blu-ray media yet so I can't comment on that. Some have commented on the quality of the tray, I think it is okay comparing to most of the drives I have owned. None of them are as nice as the old Plextor's, so if it is not that quality I do not notice a huge difference. Could be a little quieter on open and close.
