Goof Board
Pros: Great Instructions Plenty of supplied cables
Cons: No Motherboard firewire support
Overall Review: Great card for the money. Small gripe is no firewire support on the board, so I cant use the firewire port on the front of the case. My fault for not readin more carefully. Runs a AMD FX55 and NVIDIA Geforce 7900 like a champ!
Nothing fancy, but does the job
Pros: The black looks nice and was a breeze to install
Cons: Directions are bad, and the Samsung website is no help.
Overall Review: I didn't get software with these, so wil have to go find something that will support the lite scribe technology. For the price, though, its a small hassle
Good For What it is...
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: The USB cable is delicate
Overall Review: I took every class in photography that I could in college, taught labs, went to photo schools, and shot portraits, weddings, and commercial product professionally. So I should know how to balance my monitor by eye, right? Uh, no. The huey made short work of it, though, and the result was noticeably better. If you spend anytime at all shooting digital and sending them to a lab via email, do yourself a favor - use this neat little gadget to make sure the prints will match the monitor.
WOW
Pros: Very Fast
Cons: none yet
Overall Review: I am running this in conjunction with an AMD fx55 on PCI express x16. Half Life 2, with every bel and whistle maxed, is running at 135 fps.
Incredible
Pros: Fast
Cons: none
Overall Review: I used an arcticcooler heatsink, and have never seen the chip go higher than 47C. Coming from a very old machine, its pretty wild to open HalfLife 2, turn up absolutely every video option to MAX and still run the game at 135 fps, without ever hitting 50 degrees Celcius.
Works well
Pros: Quiet Cools like a champ
Cons: It might be too big for some cases
Overall Review: It stands up and shoots the hot air out the back - in my case it shot the air directly into the rear exhaust fan, so it provides excellent cooling. Thermal paste is included. Watch out when you install it. I had just installed the fx55 processor, where you replace the gate lever all the way down to lock it. However, when locking down this heatsink, you only lift the lever to vertical and thats it. I pushed the lever too far at first, and realized it would break before it went over to horizontal. With 2 120mm case fans (front and back) and this bad boy, I got cpu temps that idle at 35 and go to about 47 after playing half life 2 for an hour.
