Intel EXPI9400PT Gigabit Copper Connection for Servers 10/100/1000Mbps PCI-Express 1 x RJ45
Intel EXPI9400PT Gigabit Copper Connection for Servers 10/100/1000Mbps PCI-Express 1 x RJ45

Pros: Bought this card after installing ubuntu linux on a Dell PE 410T server and had issues with the broadcom on board nic. Inserted this card, booted the system, it recognized it and I was on the internet.

Cons: None but the price ;)

Buyer Beware!

Asus VP278H-P 27” Widescreen LED Gaming Monitor
Asus VP278H-P 27” Widescreen LED Gaming Monitor

Pros: We purchased 3 of these monitors. They are thin, light weight, cheap.

Cons: These 3 refurbished monitors arrived in plain brown paper boxes, not retail boxes. One of the monitors restarted repeatedly on taking it out of the box, so I packed it back in a box and got an RMA. Newegg refused to honor it because it was not in the "original" brown paper box. There were 3 monitors in like packaging and I did not realize the plain brown paper box was "unique" to it. We had taken the others to the dump, so "too bad for you" they said.

Overall Review: I have been a customer of New Egg since around 2003. After this sleazy practice, I will no longer buy from them. You may rip us off over a refurbished monitor but our computer business will Just use Amzn, where the customer is always right.

Solid laptop for the price

Lenovo ThinkPad T410 [Microsoft Authorized Recertified] 14" Notebook with Intel Core i5-M520 2.4Ghz, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 160GB HDD, DVDROM, Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit
Lenovo ThinkPad T410 [Microsoft Authorized Recertified] 14" Notebook with Intel Core i5-M520 2.4Ghz, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 160GB HDD, DVDROM, Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit

Pros: Mine arrived very clean, looks almost new. Decent specs. I5 Processor. Relatively fast.

Cons: The laptop had Windows 7 Home Premium on it instead of Professional as listed in the title. I contacted the seller and they provided me a Professional Key and download link. I reformatted it. installed the drivers and I am happy with it.

Overall Review: I use the Mac / Linux shell all day in a data center but there are times when I need a simple windows machine for access to windows only apps. I purchased this laptop because IBM / Lenovo make some of the best windows hardware. Still a block of plastic, but better than most.

Cheap... Dead on Arrival.

Seagate BarraCuda 7200.12 ST3500413AS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate BarraCuda 7200.12 ST3500413AS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: I have used seagate drives for over a decade, building computers in a small computer business. I remember buying my first xx meg hard drive (not GIG). Really thought I had arrived. I have easily installed hundreds of seagate drives over the last 15 years. Always had good service from them and Hitachi, Fujitsu, Maxtor was where I would look out for failure.

Cons: When I picked it up I thought uh oh... This drive though weighs about 4 ounces, was made in China, and of course, was dead on arrival... Seagate has taken a new direction with this line of hard drives. It feels cheap. It is cheap. But we, at the very least, need them to work when I buy them. Having to RMA this drive takes time that a business does not have.

Big and sharp

ASUS 27" LCD Monitor 2ms(GTG) D-Sub, HDMI MT276HE
ASUS 27" LCD Monitor 2ms(GTG) D-Sub, HDMI MT276HE

Pros: I bought this monitor to do programing with as the text on my 32 vizio was getting fuzzy. I hooked it to a xp pro machine and an ubuntu machine through a kvm switch. Rebooted the 2 machines and they both came up as 1920x1080 resolution automatically. The text is incredibly sharp and easy to read even though it is smaller than my previous monitor. After some tweaking my fonts and desktop I simply love it...

Cons: The monitor seems to do best at 1920x1080. When you try to go much smaller it tends to get grainy. LCD's just are not CRT's. But at the 1920 res it is crisp and gorgeous.

Not turbo / programable ect...

Mad Catz Xbox 360 Game Pad
Mad Catz Xbox 360 Game Pad

Pros: This is a good feeling, wired controller, though I like the M$ wireless that came with the 360 better for the freedom.

Cons: We wanted a programmable or rapid fire controller as me and my wife get tired of pushing A,A,A,A,A,A,A,A,A sometimes ;) We read this in the above ad: "The programmable Turbo button lets you take your game up to the next level by activating multi-button combos literally with the push of a single button." and ordered 2 of them. They arrived and are just like the normal 360 controller, but wired. No turbo, no programmable anything. Stock controller. We called mad catz and they have not made a turbo controller for the 360 in a long time due to M$ stopping them. So we got a RMA and sent them back to new egg.

Overall Review: If you want a wired, normal controller this is not bad but we liked the feel of the wireless one that came with our 360 better. If you are looking for a programmable or auto fire ect look else where as this does not have it.
