Gigabyte 780G
Pros: Great price. Fired right up with no problem! My first Gigabyte board and I am very impressed. I use it for a WHS. The HDMI, VGA and DVI all work fine though I don't have it hooked up permanently, I remote desktop to it if I need to.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I took the stock heatsink/fan from my 9850 and matched it with an oem 4400. The bios has lots of features I'll never use. My brothers buddy told me to stay away from boards with AMD video on them. After this I think he was wrong.
Not this time...
Pros: I bought it when it was $49 with free shipping. Came in 2 days.
Cons: DOA. I RMA'd it and they didn't have anymore so they gave me a refund.
Overall Review: 3 stars because I understand DOA happens and newegg was great about it. I have since ordered a 500GB Seagate at $69 with free shipping. I wanted to give the smaller name brand a try and was willing to take the RMA replacement, it just didn't happen this time.
**Updated Review**
Pros: I picked this up in Jan 2014, almost 2 years ago! I no longer game with this card, just run three monitors at work all day 5 days a week. My machine is on 24x7 for when I remote in from home. There is no lag in having dozens of windows open or moving things around at that point. Not sure if that's my RAM or video, but either way it's flawless. Everything looks great.
Cons: 3rd adapter is a Mini DVI, not a full sized, had to get a special cable.
Overall Review: It has been almost 2 years so I can't vouch for the batches now but mine has been running strong for a long time.
LED Bulb
Pros: Low power and really bright
Cons: Now I want to replace all the bulbs in my house.
Overall Review: My first set of LED. Got these to replace the bulbs in the bathroom, the light that goes over the mirror. Oh my goodness these are brighter than my 13w swirly kind! I love it! There was a half second delay the first time flipped the switch but it is even less than that now.
Laptop Cooler
Pros: Low profile Does not need an AC Adapter Drops my 2011 13" MacBook pro by anywhere from 2-10 degrees depending on idle or load.
Cons: The usb connection, it has an adapter on the end so you can plug in a mouse or whatever "without losing a port". However, that make the cord going back to the fan come off the side which will block your other port. I think coming off the top or a diagonal Y design instead of a T would have been better.
Overall Review: Great cooler, fairly quiet and actually cools. Now lets see how long it lasts. :-)
Awesome!!!
Pros: 3.0 and eSata Multiple RAID configurations Small fan to keep some air flowing
Cons: None!
Overall Review: I picked this up for $35 because of the $40 promo code, wow!!! I have two 1tb hard drives in RAID 0 giving me 2TB of space and they respond quickly! I'm not a speed test guru that goes by bench marks. Just by time, moving about 250GB of data ranging from small pictures in the 1.5mb range to a few 18gb BluRay movies, this is 4-5 times faster than 2.0. There are a couple switches on the back for the drives/fan if you want to keep the drives "on" all the time or let them go to sleep as well as the fan "on" all the time or just when it heats up. The fan is silent but tolerable if there is just regular noise going on in the house. I have these setup on my wife's computer and shared in the home group so everyone can get to it. No lag at all.
