Pros: This is such a great wireless set at an amazing price! I got it during Black Friday so it came out to less than $20. I've had just the mouse that cost $40 that failed repeatedly. The keyboard and mouse has never drop connection since I've plugged it in and I usually keep my PC going for days at a time. The keys give a nice bounce to it, very good feedback, quiet but still a nice click to it. The mouse is the best I've ever used. It has great response. The click of the buttons are not loud but it is just enough to make you feel your working. No plastic creaking and squeaking sounds when click on the buttons like some mice. Scrolling is smooth & silent. It also has just enough weigh to it so it doesn't feel cheap, it feels nice and sturdy. I've use this on XP Pro SP3 32bit, Vista 64bit and Ubuntu Ibex 64bit and I didn't have to install any of the drivers from the disk I just plugged it in and it worked without issue. Only uses 1 usb slot for receiver for both mouse & keyboard.
Cons: It doesn't have the Scroll Lock button on it for people who use KVM switches but what you can do is have both the ps/2 keyboard and mouse plugged in with this wireless set. I've tried doing that and there is no lag or interference at all. I've tried typing with this keyboard and continue with the ps/2 keyboard and it picked up right away from where I left off, same thing with the mouse. Since I have a very small keyboard for the ps/2, I just keep it on the side of my desk and use it when I need to switch using the KVM and it doesn't get in the way at all. Way better than struggling to get to the back of my PC to change the cables. Also I only use this at my desk so I dont really know how well the connection would be if you want to use it very far away, from what I hear you probably dont want to use it more than 10 ft away. For me the connection is wonderful but like I said I use it within a foot of the receiver because I'm at my desk. No response for my rebate yet.
Overall Review: The 2 buttons on top of the mouse that lets you got to a previous webpage and forward to a webpage is actually not a big problem as some have said, at least not for me. It is actually very hard to accidentally press them, you have to slide your hand back a bit and bend your finger back and press down solidly before it even reacts so I have never hit it by accident, it was hard to do even I tried to purposely "accidently" hit it, it is very convient to have them, once I got use to them being there and remember they were there it was great to just hit those instead of scrolling to the top left hand of the page to go back or forward. Believe it or not but if you use the computer for hours at a time, this is a big relief for your shoulders to not be needlessly moving the mouse just to go back a page. You just bend your finger and thats it, well it help my shoulders at least :) Duracell batteries included has been working for a couple of months now with no issues.
Update on rebate
Pros: This set continues to work amazingly well. I just wanted to make an update that I received notice of my rebate being sent out. So Logitech is reliable so long as you follow the rebate rules. Not the fastest but definitely not the slowest in sending out rebate checks. So I think they are working on the rebates and people will get them. I'm still delighted at how well this set works. Like I said before I've had other wireless mice from other companies that cost what this keyboard/mouse set cost that never worked and would loose connection constantly. This set has never lost a connection for the months I have had it and I love the build quality of both. Very solid and not cheap feeling at all.
Cons: They really should have left the scroll lock key on but like I said in my other review at least you can have another ps/2 keyboard/mouse connect along with this set without any problems for KVM switch users.
Overall Review: I'm glad they send out emails letting you know where to check your rebate status. And the batteries included still are going strong after almost 3 months.
Very Good Value
Pros: Booted up with no problems. Temp is very low, I haven't seen it go higher than 51C. Works fine with XP Pro 32bit, Vista 64Bit and Ubuntu 64 bit. Price is amazing for what you get. I got it during Black Friday with a discount from Newegg and PNY $40 rebate, I was quite happy. I was able to run Bioshock with no problems though I'll have to admit I dont play very taxing games so I cant say for sure if you can play it on high settings because I didn't try. PNY gets you their rebates very fast! Most games I have tried runs at about 30fps according to Fraps. Since I play mostly adventure games, I've had no problems with any game, temps are low and no freezing or drops in frame rate, no crashes, very stable and dependable. It came with a nice adapter if you need to run vga for kvm switches.
Cons: I dont know if I am just a bit sensitive to loud noise but I think this fan on the card is a bit loud. Of course it could just be me since my case had 120mm fans (2) that made NO noise upon booting so the vid card fan stood out a lot when I installed it. So dont expect silent even though its a low temp card. I ran it for a couple of days straight and eventually the noise became low enough to ignore, like those 80mm fan's whooshing noise. It also had an odd bend to the metal edge of the card, I thought maybe I had gotten a used card but I think in other photos I saw it had the same bend so maybe that is just how it's suppose to be.
Overall Review: PNY is great with rebates. I also got my $40 rebate 2 weeks exactly from the date I mailed it out. You only get to try out the card for 3 weeks before you have to send the rebate out so make sure you read the requirements on the rebate. Make sure you write down the serial no from the actual card before installing, you need it for rebate and registering with PNY so you can get the extra 2 year warranty. This was the fastest I ever received a rebate. For the low budget gamer that wants to play a few newer games it works just fine but dont expect it to play Crysis on high, this is not the card. Also with this card you wont need to worry too much about you power supply. You wont need to change your psu as long as its relatively decent, I think it can be as low as 250 watts but not sure exactly. I would get at least a 300 watt. Mine was fine with a 450 watt.
