Rock Solid Board

ASUS M3A76-CM AM2+/AM2 AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M3A76-CM AM2+/AM2 AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Overall a great motherboard. I bought mine installed in a prebuilt cyberpower PC combo back in 2008, and this board is still running strong. Extremely stable platform to build off of.

Cons: Only two con's i can think of and they're not really cons. One is that there aren't very many usb ports on this thing, and two is that when overclocking i had some stability issues, but that could either be the board, dimms, or the processor itself. I can't tell since i'm not at all experienced with overclocking and havent spent the hours needed to troubleshoot.

Overall Review: I would buy this board again and again if i needed a reliable board for a budget build. This board has been removed from my case twice, had two seperate graphics cards shoved into it, numerous HDDs and Optical drives plugged and unplugged, RAM sticks replaced, and a heavy heat sink hanging off it for the better part of a year. As far as tinkering i've put this board through it's paces and been more rough with it than one should ever be with a mobo, and it's still kicking like a mule. Great Board.

Great headset

PLANTRONICS GameCom Commander Circumaural Limited Edition Tournament Gaming Headset OEM
PLANTRONICS GameCom Commander Circumaural Limited Edition Tournament Gaming Headset OEM

Pros: The audio quality of these headphones is well above average, though the bass is somewhat lacking it is nowhere near flat. The biggest pro of this headset is the microphone. I've had several adjustable boom microphone headsets, and this one is by far the best. The mic boom itself is very stiff and retains whatever position you set it to, no slowly drooping down to your neck. The audio quality of the microphone is excellent, superb even. The thick foam around the microphone helps to cancel out all the ambient noise from my tower (i have reference 6990 in my tower, during games it can get fairly loud.) and i have had no complaints from my clan that they can't hear nor understand me. The carry case these come is AMAZING. Best carry case i have ever seen a headset come in. The whole thing feels as solid as a brick and could probably take as much weight. Don't take this as saying there no cons to this headset, because there are, see below.

Cons: To start off i think my biggest pet peeve about this headset is how it adjusts. The two earphones are attached to the head band via two stiff wires to each headphone. No matter what adjustment you set these at they always seem to drift towards fully extended, so that no weight is distributed on the headband itself and instead is directly applied to the sides of your head. There is a certain breaking in period with these headphones as the headband itself is pretty stiff, and during the first two weeks gave me headaches if i wore them for prolonged periods, but now they are Semi-comfortable. The foam around the earcups feels pretty cheap, and is nowhere near the quality of foam thats on my Asus Vulcan ANC earcups.

Overall Review: Overall i would have to say at the full price of $300 these headphones are NOT worth it. i got them on sale at $70 dollars which is more than fair however. If you're willing to sacrifice comfort for microphone and sound clarity these may be the headset for you, but if comfort is a major issue i would have to say avoid this headset.

Great Card

ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card
ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

Pros: Works amazing with headphones and gives them that extra "oomph" in demanding games like Battlefield 3. Explosions have that extra bit of "pop" that makes it FEEL like a mortar shell just hit 20 feet away from me. Sounds also have much more detail, i can hear the gravel crunch under my feet and the subtle clinking of my gear.

Cons: Takes a 16x PCIe slot. I knew this going in and it's not why i knocked off an egg, but it definitely doesnt need that much bandwidth. The con i knocked an egg off for is the Software that comes with it. The front panel detection doesn't really work when it comes to microphone inputs. Took me a good hour or so to figure out why plugging my mic into the back didn't work till i realized i had to switch it manually in the software, which was hard to find. Also the dobly 5.1 virtualization or whatever it is sucks. It literally sounds like your head is in a bucket as another reviewer stated very astutely.

Overall Review: If your motherboard doesnt have dedicated onboard audio this card is a must have (given that you have an extra PCI 16x slot to spare.) When i say dedicated i dont mean the 8 channel realtek stuff.

Great PSU

PC Power & Cooling Fatal1ty Gaming Series 750 Watt 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular Active PFC Performance Grade ATX PC Power Supply (OCZ750FTY)
PC Power & Cooling Fatal1ty Gaming Series 750 Watt 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular Active PFC Performance Grade ATX PC Power Supply (OCZ750FTY)

Pros: - Flat modular cables - plenty of sata and molex - good cooling fan This is a great powersupply, i have it mounted in the front of my case (an azza genesis 9000) and while on it looks like a small furnace in the bottom. After turning my computer off the fan keeps spinning to cool the power supply down after shut down. Also the fan is super quiet, i can put my ear up to the thing and can barely hear it spinning.

Cons: Too few dedicated six pin power connectors. There are extra six pins that plug into the modular connectors where sata and molex cables go, but i'd feel much more comfortable plugging them into the six pin slots. (there is two dedicated on the power supply, but my cross fire system will need 4).

Overall Review: Overall a great power supply and the flat cables are a great touch if you're into cable management and aesthetics which i happen to be. Not really a con but because i've mounted the power supply in the bottom front and my motherboard is in an inverted orientation the cables have to strain to get to where they are.

Awesome Case and HUGE!

AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case
AZZA Genesis 9000 CSAZ-9000B Black 0.8mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Where to start. The options in this case are incredible and there is so much room it was a breeze to work with. comes with tons of screws for whatever devices you want to mount, and the back side knockouts are held in with thumbscrews, instead of having to be broken out like my old mid tower.

Cons: The one con i have is that when turbo mode is engaged with the fans they can get alittle loud, this isn't a problem for me since i use noise cancelling headphones but be advised this is in no way a "Silent" case unless you're going to be swapping the fans out. Also not really a con just a tip, if you're going to be mounting the power supply in the front put it in first, i guess because of the cable management behind the mobo the tray is alittle forward and with my mobo already mounted it was alittle tricky to get the PSU in.

Overall Review: Great case, worth every penny, so many options and configurations. Feels very sturdy and well built.

Great Card

XFX Double D Radeon HD 6850 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity HD-685X-ZDFC
XFX Double D Radeon HD 6850 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity HD-685X-ZDFC

Pros: Absolutely amazing card. Out of the box you can feel the quality in how heavy it is (and it is heavy, upwards of 3 pounds or more, i didn't have a sensitive enough scale to measure it.) The dual fans on this card keep it relatively cool, my mid tower case is older and has rather abysmal airflow over the PCI slot and the fans (which are superbly quiet.) never let it get over 55 degrees C. Make sure to take measurements in your case, my case is rather small and though it did not conflict with the HDD cage itself i had to move a HD up one slot to because it conflicted with the card.

Cons: None that i can think of, card is solid and very slick looking. ... I can't cuddle with it at night? the DIRT3 coupon that came with the card is invalid, i would hope that an xfx customer service could contact me about this inconvenience.
