Great Camera

OLYMPUS Stylus Tough 8000 Black 12.0 MP 3.6X Optical Zoom Waterproof Shockproof 28mm Wide Angle Digital Camera
OLYMPUS Stylus Tough 8000 Black 12.0 MP 3.6X Optical Zoom Waterproof Shockproof 28mm Wide Angle Digital Camera

Pros: Durable and worry-free. I like 'worry-free' technology. A GPS falls into that category. You set the destination and if you make a wrong turn, it gets you back on track. This camera is the most worry free camera I've owned. I owned the previous 720 model and had no qualms with it. When I took it scuba diving and didn't realize I had lost one of the front screws, the camera didn't recover, so I had to replace it, so I got this model. On the beach, if your trying to get that perfect shot of someone catching a wave, and a wave is heading your direction. Do you move? Negative. Stay strong, let the wave pass and watch everyone else lift their camera's or run away from the wave. If it starts raining, do you worry about your camera getting wet? No. If your kid does his first underwater swim in your backyard swimming pool, can you get it? Yes.

Cons: The pictures are sometimes grainy. The camera doesn't come with a battery charging station. You must charge the battery in the camera.

Overall Review: Get the combo deal if it's still available. It comes with a 2nd battery and a carrying case that doesn't do a bad job.

Most Critical Review

Tech support is terriable

Airnet ABT201 USB 2.0 Wireless Bluetooth Adapter
Airnet ABT201 USB 2.0 Wireless Bluetooth Adapter

Pros: Fast shipping from newegg.

Cons: Please hope for a working product, and hope you don't have to try to talk to support. I tried both email and calling for 3 days to talk to a real tech, even with a manager helping me, with no luck.

Overall Review: After reading all the other reviews, I'm sure I got a dud. But I should have at least been able to verify I had a dud after a short phone call to tech support.

Tricky but works!

Jawbone Over-The-Ear Bluetooth Headset Black Bulk (Jawbone 2 II)
Jawbone Over-The-Ear Bluetooth Headset Black Bulk (Jawbone 2 II)

Pros: Near absolute noise cancellation I have tested this in many situations. But the trick to getting a good quiet connection for the person you are talking to, is to get a fairly direct, somewhat solid contact with your skin/cheek.

Cons: Button on the side is easy to hit, especially with adjusting the earpiece. Be careful, you have been warned. Also warn the other party if you are going to try adjusting it.

Overall Review: Follow my rules, please! - use it whenever you drive (for safety sake) - take it out when you are around people (you get made fun of if you don't, trust me). Switching from headset <-> earpiece should be simple on your phone. You're hands are not that valuable that you cannot use one of them to hold a phone to your head to talk on a phone. - charge it every night if you use it a lot

Best GPS on the Market for the price

GARMIN 3.5" GPS Receiver
GARMIN 3.5" GPS Receiver

Pros: Bright display, bluetooth, traffic receiver, easy to use interface, more accurate map database, custom POIs, mp3 playback, adjusts distance of a list of POIs as your driving, proximity points (lets you put in warnings for red light cameras, speed zones, Krispy Kreams, etc)

Cons: No elevation, no speed indicator from main screen during a route, doesn't show current time on main screen, taking it in and out of a car can be cumbersum (having to plug & unplug power/audio), can only add 1 way point during a trip, cant specify phone #s to custom POIs, cant interface to a radar detector and tell me where on the map where the cop car is.

Overall Review: I initially bought this model. Exchanged it for the Tomtom 990 hoping the tomtom would be better. I was wrong, my wife didn't like the tomtom interface. It was clunky and difficult to navigate. The tomtom didn't come with the built in traffic receiver. The map database in the tomtom was less accurate in the US. I gave the tomtom an entire month, i tried to make myself believe it was better, but finally ended up going back to the Garmin and haven't regretted it yet. Oh, the compelling reason to go with the Tomtom? Being able to see built in POIs as I'm driving down the street. Luckily I came to my senses. I now have the audio routed to my AUX port on my sound system and the built in mp3 player makes a great substitute to the cdplayer/radio. I found form my readings on the internet that many were on the fence between this & the tomtom 990. If you are, go with this, you will not regret it.

Exactly what I was looking for

BELKIN Sports Sleeve for iPod nano Model F8Z060
BELKIN Sports Sleeve for iPod nano Model F8Z060

Pros: Protecs the nano, provides a scratch guard plastic screen as well. Is small, lightweight, doesn't add really any size to the nano.

Cons: Keeping the ipod in my pocket tends to collect pocket lint. The case is kinda rubbery and attracts the lint.

Overall Review: I like the black.

Monitor is great but...

Hanns-G 19" Active Matrix, TFT LCD WXGA+ LCD Monitor 5 ms 1440 x 900 D-Sub, DVI-D HW-192DJB
Hanns-G 19" Active Matrix, TFT LCD WXGA+ LCD Monitor 5 ms 1440 x 900 D-Sub, DVI-D HW-192DJB

Pros: Worked practically out of the box in both Linux & windows. I have the DVI cable going to windows (for CS:Source) and VGA going to linux. For kicks I tried installing the windows driver on my XP system, but it didn't seem to like it.

Cons: Just one... Switching from VGA <-> DVI is cumbersum. Some monitors have a single button to change sources, Hanns-G decided to put it in the menu. And well, the buttons on the side are not the most easy buttons to push.

Overall Review: Looks nice. Good deal from newegg. Its not a high end LCD, but I don't need the high-end high resolution monitors. I needed the space savings.
