Good memory.
Pros: Reliable. That's what matters most in memory these days, right? Find the bus speed, voltage and DDR standard supported by your board, and then go with what's most reliable. I chose these 2 of these Kingston sticks for my most recent build, and they've been working perfectly! No hang ups or coughs or crashes or hiccups or errors. Even during demanding tasks, such as moving around large files or 3D gaming, haven't had a problem! Definite win!
Cons: These sticks of memory may not meet some people's desires in the realms of overclocking, as does it officially support voltages over 1.8v. I don't regard this as a con becuase I am idealogically opposed to overclocking. Reliability should be our first and foremost concern, and this memory delivers in that respect. Also, the CAS latency is rather high, but my understanding of RAM is that CAS is less important to performance than clockspeed.
Overall Review: Buying memory is a tricky buisness these days, filled with people who are loyal to one brand of RAM and refuse to purchase anything else. I admit I'm one of these people, so I was hesistant to go outside of my normal purchases to get Kingston, but had to becuase the board I recently purchased wouldn't support the memory brand I typically purchase. I went out on a limb and purchased Kingston based off a trusted recommendation, I'm pleased to say that Kingston has exceeded my expectations. Good RAM!
Returned it
Pros: I gave this set such a low score not because it's a bad product, but because it failed my expectations. That's not the speaker system's fault, but mine for expecting too much of a product at this price range. Its pros are as follows: Good price, good sound quality (in a sense, read below), easy to set up, and a very good starter/budget 5.1 system.
Cons: Here are the big things for which I decided to RMA these speakers. 1) The cables going to the rear speakers are far too short! I listen to music in a very small bedroom, but I still had to get extension wires (probably not approved by Creative) to connect the rear speakers to the sub. 2) While the speakers individually are all quite clear and loud, there's a problem of balance. Some users (me) will be closer to the front speakers than the rear, which means you must turn the audio balance towards the back speakers to make it sound like you're in the "center" of the sound field. Problem is, doing this reduces the relative volume of all THREE front speakers, including the center channel. This makes the mid range and treble in music sound very flat and yucky. Additional hardware controls could resolve this, but the only ones are a bass knob on the sub and volume/power dial on the right front speaker.
Overall Review: I'm sure many people won't care about the things that I returned this set for. Like I said, it's an excellent set for those who want 5.1 on a budget. My mistake was thinking I could go from an older, very high-end speaker system down to this one and still be satisfied. I was wrong. Your results may vary.
Love it, buying a second one
Pros: Fast, reliable.
Cons: Very high price per gigabyte, but hey. This is PERFORMANCE storage. If you want CHEAP storage, go get a slow 200TB hard drive for fourteen cents or something.
Overall Review: I bought one of these just to install my OS for quick booting, and to host games for wicked fast load times. I definitely got those things, and I like this drive so much that I'm buying a second one to host all my main data.
The best game console
Pros: This thing is the single finest game console that exists.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Overall Review: I love my PS3. I love its hardware, its operating system, it's secondary features like DVD/Bluray playback and Netflix streaming. But most of all I love the games. Games, games, so many good games. All my friends have PS3s, and having one myself means I get to play these awesome games in person and online with the dudes I like to spend time with. This console is the best thing ever. Anyone who actually, truly loves to play video games should own one of these.
Cheap and it works
Pros: Works!
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Use this cable to hook up my PS3 to my TV set. Does both audio and HD video with a single cable. Excellent buy.
Excellent Drive!
Pros: Small, fast, huge capacity and very good price. Is easily attachable to a key chain.
Cons: Um nothing really all that much maybe? If I break it, it won't work anymore?
Overall Review: This little dongle is fantastic. Not only is it big enough to hold all my documents, pictures, music, Flash files and some utilities, (taking up only HALF of the drive's capacity) but it's wicked fast too. I copied 13 gigabytes of data onto it in less than an hour! Now I have all my critical data on my key chain, and it's always with me in case my house burns down or is trampled by rabid elephants. Very good purchase, very good product. PNY has done themselves proud this day.
