Nice board. Not having the trouble others have seemed to have.

GIGABYTE X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI AM4 AMD X570 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI AM4 AMD X570 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: It's heavy, that was my first thought when I lifted it from the box. I'd recommend watching review videos on this board for technical info. Instead I'll address some common complaints on the reviews here and how my experience compare. The chip set fan isn't loud. I don't notice it at all. The bios for me at least was stable out of the box and has given me no issues. I haven't bothered to update it. If you plan to use a lot of case fans you will need a fan controller, the board has just a few. Things I liked were the build quality of the board, The simple but effective RGB lighting, cable port placement, and feature set.

Cons: The RGB light on the bottom left was a bit lack luster, it seems light it runs a different color than the top light when they are set to be the same. Oh well?

Overall Review: I'm happy with the purchase. I knew I was taking a bit of a gamble considering other reviews on here, but on paper this is a great board. I think that gigabyte was just having some teething trouble with the new chipset and they probably have that all ironed out now. Or my board is special.

Most Critical Review

Still on a disc.

Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 64-bit, DVD - OEM
Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 64-bit, DVD - OEM

Pros: It still does what windows does.

Cons: Why does it cost more to get this on a thumb drive? Why is there a disc at all?

Overall Review: I downloaded windows onto a usb from the microsoft website and just used the key that was with the disc.

Great all around M.2

Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 1TB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 3D2, QLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDPEKNW010T8X1
Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 1TB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 3D2, QLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDPEKNW010T8X1

Pros: Price point was right for these. Decent speed and storage capacity. There are faster M.2 drives on the market, and they are more expensive. These are just fine for the average user.

Overall Review: I would buy them again.

stone solid mouse

EVGA TORQ X10 901-X1-1103-KR Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
EVGA TORQ X10 901-X1-1103-KR Wired Laser Gaming Mouse

Pros: This is a very good mouse. A nice solid feel to the whole unit with a good tactile feel to the contacted surface. left, right and side buttons have a good click with with a tactile feel. Not squishy and not too loud. You know you hit a button. The scroll wheel is very tactile and distinct to the touch. It scrolls smoothly and evenly. I had to go online to figure out how to lift the top place and change the weights however that plate is very secure. I believe i could chuck it into the wall without it coming loose. speed at 8200 dpi is rediculous and useless for desktop browsing but the quick change buttons and light make it very easy to change settings and know which setting you are on. The Profile button on the bottom is hard to press without looking at it and without pressing the left click. You won't be switching profiles on the fly. The software is not overly flashy and is simple and intuitive to use. perfect as i see it. Colors for LED lights are limited but you have options. Being able to adjust the hieght is also a neet trick. Don't be fooled into thinking such small adjustments will make no difference. They do even to my casual gamer mates. Playing with this mouse all week with shooters and RTS games I have been well impressed.

Cons: Profile button is difficult to reach quickly. Top plate removal is not well documented in what little written material is included. I had to go online to find the software. No disc was included.

Overall Review: This is a huge mark against newegg and not evga. I have been hearing a lot recently that newegg switched there shipping and that it isn't very good now. I agree. But I'll get to that in a moment. When I ordered this mouse it was a pre order. The money was not immediately charged to my card so I figured that the money would be charged upon the shipping date. That was said to be the 27th of last month. They then charged me on the 20th or so but my account was empty from bills and a bar tab. On the 25th when I got paid I made my deposit and checked on the pre order with newegg. After replacing my order I waited a week to get my package. Not a big deal in itself. Not ever close to the old service standards but it's not like I haven't waited that long before with other companies. The box was delivered Badly damaged and the inner packaging of the mouse itself was damaged as well. This package was plainly crushed and tossed around. I thought for sure that I would be returning a broken mouse. The mouse works fine but I am less than pleased with this new shipping. Newegg, if I receive my next package from you like this we may be parting ways. I realize this is a problem with the shipper however newegg chose the shipper.

great upgrade

Intel Core i5-3350P - Core i5 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.1GHz (3.3GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 69W Desktop Processor - BX80637i53350P
Intel Core i5-3350P - Core i5 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.1GHz (3.3GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 69W Desktop Processor - BX80637i53350P

Pros: Was a good upgrade from my 775 socket wolfdale. Wasn't sure I needed to upgrade but after 5 years of service I wanted a new rig. I was shocked by how much faster everything was. Combine this chip with a good ssd and 8 gigs of ram. My cold start to desk top takes 7 secs.

Cons: Isn't gold plated and doesn't come with 30 inch rims?

Overall Review: There are more expensive chips out there but the dual core I upgraded from was still plugging away at new games with little effort. game developers aren't pushing the limit like they used to so going with a more budget friendly option isn't bad right now. besides you can upgrade to I7 later if you want.

Pros: solid power supply last from 09 to a couple of months ago Sept 2012 and it served me well. also when the power supply quit it did so quietly without burning the whole rig. much appreciated.

Cons: not really a complaint to be had

Overall Review: i could have swore i bought a 750 watt but after pulling psu i realized i didn't will be upgrading to a 750 from same company
