New Bios avaliable!

GIGABYTE Radeon R9 290 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card GV-R929WF3-4GD
GIGABYTE Radeon R9 290 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card GV-R929WF3-4GD

Pros: Good performance but some video tears etc... Didn't overclock much. You guys get this review tagged so it shows up. Flashing the Bios to GV-R929WF3-4GD FA2 changed all that. Over clock quite well Rock Solid stable. Note the FA2 in the BIOS title. Run GIGABYTE VGA @BIOS and you should see your BIOS ver, FA1 was my original BIOS Tag this review for the guys out there so this get's read. Game on.

Cons: non at the moment

Slow boot

SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 2280 512GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V5P512BW
SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 2280 512GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V5P512BW

Pros: What a pure pleasure moving data from the original SSD to this M.2 950 PRO. Looking forward to the months ahead with this one.

Cons: You guys that are pretty sharp on this new tech pipe up for me. Boot is slow. As slow as 25 seconds MSI Z170 gaming M7 board, Skylake i7 etc... This I have learned, Msi fast boot will boot to desktop on this system in 2 to 3 seconds on the Samsung 840 SSD and does so by skipping many bios checks such as checking the Sata devices etc... Boot to this New drive is not possible using that boot process. I want and need to get a better understanding of what is happening there so I understand the most effective bios setting's with regard to New M.2 PCI-Express drives. Info is still a bit thin out there on this subject as of yet.

Overall Review: Highly recommended. If you are going to go get coffee during the slow boot the coffee maker better be close. Your not going to get far in 25 seconds.

Anouther success story

UNDER SCAN

ASUS 23.6" LCD Monitor 2ms(GTG) D-Sub, HDMI MS246H
ASUS 23.6" LCD Monitor 2ms(GTG) D-Sub, HDMI MS246H

Pros: 1" BLACK BORDERS ARE DEFAULT ON ATI CARDS BECAUSE THE DRIVERS DEFAULT TO UNDER SCAN 8%. So, your pro stated here is this. Not the monitors fault. You just go in and set the over scan to 0%.

Cons: The con is this. We, you and I will be useing lcd tv's etc.. on our computers for the rest of our life and to many of users wine that the monitor is showing 1" black borders. Spead the word around the world. Under scan is a GPU SETTING!

Overall Review: Get the latest drivers and set your over scan to 0%. Sorry venting a little here. Done now.

Pros: Outstanding value.

Cons: not the new 1.3 standards type cord and just to clairify your gpu can not send audio through it's DVI port and therefor into this cable so don't look for it.

Overall Review: Great value

Stands up to rep

ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 LGA 775 Intel 945GC Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 LGA 775 Intel 945GC Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: I built 5 office machines from the ground up using this board. It's always a pleasure when your research pays off. 42 components 0 defective. If you are reading this for research reasons as I did, well here you go. You want a solid board you can walk away from for a few years this is it.

Cons: No Cons

Overall Review: Newegg your efficiency keeps going up. I had card issues. Your phone was answered immediately and the conflict was resolved. We applaud your custumer service.
