Faster - Better Wireless Coverage
Pros: -Generally simple to setup using an apple iPhone or Android Phone - designed for the non geek to easily setup and configure, just fill in the blanks -coverage is more dynamic and self adjusting -high end wireless router with great speed and range -also makes a great access point for expanded coverage in a large house and/or office. - the app gives you the ability to monitor overall bandwidth for your network and by individual devices to see what device and what time that device needs priority over others - ie, streaming TV, Gaming System. - also using the app, you can specify what device has priority over the internet and for how long, this way you can optimize the device for priority over all other to get better internet speed to a specific device. (sorry if I lost you here) - also allows you can to do a speed test and record the results within the device. (great to see when your isp is lacking) - a truly smart device, keeps itself updated without interruption and will monitor the surrounding interference to optimize it's own coverage and signal.
Cons: - Must have an iPhone or Android phone you can download the app on to setup - does not have the ability to use a computer for setup - poor documentation for the tech geek in all of us - only one internal port, if this is your main router and you need extra ports - you will need a switch for expansion - I recommend purchasing a gigabyte switch (don't go cheap and use an older hub, 5 port gigabyte switch is around $49)
Overall Review: - most review were written by people expecting something other than what this device was designed for - I don't have either an iPhone or an android phone, but several android tablet - setup would only work on one of the tablets - but after the apps worked on all. - this device is mostly design for home networks (can be used for work) - does not give you the option for port forwarding or adjustment of any kind. So, if you are looking for a device to act as a high end firewall with pass through for servers, camera, etc. you are out of luck.
Bought 2 both have died in separate systems
Pros: I got these for a great price since I use a lot of Rosewill products and power supplies - they have all been great
Cons: - used in a system with one DVD and 2.5" SSD, one I added a bigger video card, the power supply popped while loading OS - the second system had no physical Hard drive or optical drive, just motherboard, M2 drive, once I added NVidia 1080Ti card, system popped while loading video drivers ** both died within 2-5hours of use, both were new and sealed in box, not refurbished. -> replaced both with Rosewill 750W power supplies we had in stock and they worked fine - been 3 months as of today
Overall Review: I am sorry but can not recommend this power supply at any price
Works out of the box, plug in receiver and you are off
Pros: compact size for a full-size keyboard, and the big lettering is a plus for us that do not see too well and need the extra help
Cons: - none so far
Overall Review: - would recommend them, I know they are 'off brand' but sometimes you get a winner by chance and these are it
Do Not Buy
Pros: - it is an SSD
Cons: - we purchased over 100 drive, we have one go in about a month - they say 3-year warranty but they want you to ship it back to China - which cost more than the drive itself.
Overall Review: - they are slower than other drives but are a percentage cheaper - in all these years it is the second SSD drive that has died, the first was a SanDisk - they replaced it - when this one dies we have to tell the customer that his data was gone and we had to cover their warranty to replace, install, and reload - which cost us more than what the drive was worth.
not work the reduced price...
Pros: system was in great shape, except...(see below)
Cons: - the keyboard was so warn that they had put 'stickers' on the keys and the upper right corner of keyboard did not work at all - the 'after market' batter was not recognized by the system and showed an error code as soon as it was plugged in - the 'after market' adapter worked but was very cheap, similar to the ones for $8 on another site that don't last to long
Overall Review: - over all with loading the OS and supplying the required COA - replacing the keyboard, battery, and charger with a quality one - this all said and done, would have doubled our cost of the system and make the 'over the counter' cost not worth the price *** We sent it back the same day, Newegg is great in these cases ***
did not receive - no customer contact
they created the label without actually shipping the item so they can get paid. We will never deal with again. I don't know why Newegg lets these companies sell on their site - just make me go somewhere else for items
warning china vendor
after a full month has past no item and Newegg seems to have ignored our request for help on this issue. Now item states non-returnable for something we never received. There wasn't any tracking info for this item either. If we knew we would not receive it we would have never ordered it. Since we needed a reader, we ordered from another vendor the end of the week we purchased this back in September 2 - it is now October 5 - no product, no resolution. We are disappointed with Newegg because they are listing this vendor.
