Great card for price
Pros: This card has amazing specs for the price, 1GB, 256 bit, GDDR5, 640 Stream Processing Units, etc. Windows 7 graphic scores for me were 7.2 in both gaming and general graphics. Run WoW on max settings and stays capped at max FPS most of the time. 1680X1050. Drivers easily worked for win 7.
Cons: It is pretty big, so make sure your case can hold it.
Overall Review: Haven't had long enough for a complete review, but so far it rocks.
Is this a Refurb?
Pros: Works so far, 7.3 Windows Score
Cons: Mine came in not so condition.. the packaging was fine and still sealed, but the chip had what looked like to be a brown stain on the top of the silver metallic area. My heat sink was also beat up pretty badly. I mean not just a little bit, this thing had scratches all over the underside copper area. Is this a recycle from a refurb or what? I don't feel like spending the time to mail it back or what seems to be cosmetic issues so far.
Overall Review: Hopefully this thing doesn't die on me in a year..
Works good so far
Pros: Seems to be ok so far..
Cons: Just FYI I shopped at newegg for 6-7 years and never give anything 3 stars, but the packaging for this was awful. Not sure If I am having bad luck or what, but in my latest build this was the other thing that was packaged very poorly. The box was almost falling apart and there were indentures on the plastic where the ports had pushed against it. The box also was not sealed at all. I was concerned that the board would not even post. Of course it was packaged properly inside the ups box, but the motherboard box itself looks like it was treated very poorly in the warehouse, it makes me have concerns on if anything could be wrong with it or if any connections could be loose and fail on me in the future... Nothing worse than ordering a new PC and having to replace the motherboard after spending so much time piecing everything together. The first time I have been unhappy with newegg.
Overall Review: Not sure if it is the board or what but I've had a few freezes where my computer does nothing absolutely refuses to turn off, even if I press the switch on the mobo or try to hard reset. Haven't had enough time to reproduce/diagnose.
regretting it
Pros: Maybe good if you don't have any regular pci slots left. Seems stable so far.
Cons: Overpriced I got this card because I had the dlink 655 router and I was hoping to see amazing wireless speeds. It is subpar to the 3 year old belkin card I have in my other pc. This thing doesn't sit in the PCI express slot very well. It seems to angle upward, when none of my other cards do this.
Overall Review: Takes up PCI Express slot I got this card thinking it would be fine since my motherboard has 4 PCI Express slots. I didn't realize that my graphics card covers up two spots. I will have to trash this card if I go crossfire :( I wish I would have went with a simple PCI card.
Can't get into these glasses
Pros: none
Cons: I bought these hoping I would see a significant difference in computer usage. Each time I would wear these for about 10 minutes and noticed I was beginning to get a headache, so I took them off.
Overall Review: How is this different than adding a yellow tint to your monitor? Wish I would have just done that and saved 80 bucks.
6.3 Windows Processor Score
Pros: Cheap and gets the job done
Cons: Wish I would've spent 30 more dollars on a quad core for higher score, gets me 6.3 in windows 7 processor score
