Very Happy With It
Pros: Bought this Sceptre 24" nine months ago. I was a little wary because of the low price tag compared to my 23" Apple cinema display, but I've had absolutely nothing to complain about in all this time. I've got the Apple at home and the Sceptre at work, and I don't really notice the visual difference between them. Both give me 1920x1200 and work great.
Cons: Well of course there's no point in using the audio on this thing. This is a monitor not a hi-fi system. My Apple Cinema display has USB and Firewire ports, this doesn't... but again, I'm getting this because of it's screen real-estate size, not because I get an extra port or two out of it.
Overall Review: I wish I'd bought one of these for my home instead of wasting money on an Apple Cinema display. I could've bought three of these Sceptres for the price of my Apple.
Dead on Arrival
Pros: Unknown. Well... looks nice. Small.
Cons: Dead on arrival. Light comes on, but neither my Mac nor my XP box recognize it. No hard disk spinning up sound. Top of the case looks like it was rubbed up against something black... Was this refurbished or something?
Doesn't work with Windows 10
Overall Review: I guess I thought that I confirmed on the Newegg specs that this worked with W10, but going back it doesn't say that it does work with W10. Therefore this is useless to me, and I need to return it. I don't want anything fancy, not playing any games, just want to be able to drive 1920x1200 display with VGA.
Not as described
Pros: nice and shiny in color, though nobody would see that as the drive is internal
Cons: only 1.7TB. after many back and forths with Seagate technical support over the course of days where I used their utilities to analyze (they seemed to typically respond overnight) they suggested I return it.
False Description; No Gigabit Ethernet
Pros: inexpensive and has two usb 3 ports. Very lightweight
Cons: The "Ethernet" is listed on Newegg's product description as Gigabit Ethernet. It is not, it is just 10/100. Another con: there is nowhere to plug any kind of PCI card in.
Overall Review: at this price it was too good to be true. I really wish the description matched the product
4gb not 32gb
Pros: cost
Cons: Hm, I thought I tested the first one before I malled it out, but I didn't for sure test 100% of the files on it. The 2nd one I have now, I can format as 32gb in FAT32 or NTFS. I appear to be able to copy 30gb to it, but I can only ever access 4gb, either from Linux or Windows 8. The other directories come up blank in Fat32 or "corrupted" in NTFS
Overall Review: I wrote the other review before I tested the 2nd memory stick.
As described All is Well
Sure, I'd recommend these guys, I didn't have any problems.
