Great but beware that backplate on a Gigabyte 965P-S3

Pros: Cools very well. Slapped an S-FLEX 1200 RPM on it and it's very quiet - much more than the stock Intel heatsink (C2D E6300) under load. Keeps the CPU at 50 degrees (Celsius) at 3.36 GHz under 100% TAT load (case temp 39 degrees). Assembly fairly straightforward, just take your time and think about what you're doing. You get to chose the fan you want (cooling capacity vs. noise).
Cons: Assembly manual (sheet) could be better. Had a weird problem at first. Would give me a blank screen a start-up, not even post. If I put back in the stock Intel heatsink it would work fine. Turns out the backplate was apparently shorting something on the motherboard (Gigabyte 965P-S3 rev. 1). I put a piece of anti-static bag (that came with a hard-drive), between the backplate and the mobo, and it's been working like a charm for several days now.
Overall Review: Check first that it will fit in your case. Fits fine with a few inches to spare in a Lian-Li PC7B plus II.
Disappointing

Pros: - smooth surface - just the right size for my needs - stays fairly well put on the desk (still some creeping, but no huge sliding)
Cons: - one corner has started to peel off slightly. Doesn't affect the performance of the pad and it's not visible either (for now); admittedly a minor detail. I've been using it for 8 months now. - tracking is not perfect. When moved in a perfect straight line (with a guide), the mouse cursor will actually regularly jump a couple pixels to the side, then jump back to the original line - back and forth, and back and forth. I suspect this is due to the pattern printed on the pad. I'm using a Razer DeathAdder and had no such issue with my previous mouse pad.
Overall Review: The less-than-perfect tracking is disappointing. This is the one feature a mouse pad should have nailed, in my opinion, and the pad is clearly marketed towards gamers, with "superior tracking", and even said to be "tested and 100% compatible" with the mouse I'm using (per the manufacturer's web site).
Great all-around case

Pros: Great case all-around. 120mm fans are 1500 RPM, a bit noisy (though that's very relative) at stock voltage but move air. I replaced the front one with a nearly silent S-FLEX 800 RPM fan.
Cons: Cables for the front-case panel could have been a little longer. The audio cable will reach the connectors on my Gigabyte 965P-S3, but just barely.

Pros: Was already a good deal at $120; at time of this writing it's selling for $80, which is a steal. Currently running at 960 MHz at 5-5-5-15 at 2.0V, on a Gigabyte 965P-S3 (rev. 1) with an E6300. I'm sure there's still room to tighten the timings or increase the overclock. Also booted fine at 1.8V on the 965P-S3.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Great DDR2 kit, great performance/price.

Pros: - Very good performance/price ratio - Very quiet in 2D mode - Handles current games very well, at 1280x1024, settings high. - Stays pretty cool even under load, and has a nice overclocking potential.
Cons: - Quite noisy when playing video or a game. The fan ramps up instantly and you will hear it (oh you will), unless you wear closed headsets.
