Great Notebook

Pros: For the size: Plenty of power, RAM, and disk space. Plays HD video without a hiccup. Does hulu and HD youtube without dropping frames and stuttering. Long battery life, 8 hours. Windows 7 is Fantastic. Very Light. I love the portability
Cons: The extra software installed by manufacturer. -0 eggs (easy to fix)
Overall Review: I bought this laptop knowing it didn't have an optical drive. Good news is windows 7 has the ability to install from a usb flash drive. However there is not an easy way to burn a backup recovery disk from the hard drive without a DVD burner. I am a power user and have a particular set of software I use and like. Most of that doesn't come pre-installed.
Great Low End Mobo

Pros: Great Board, Descent Price. Asus has never done me wrong, Enthusiast AMD boards and Intel boards. This board is superb for the person who will just be surfing the web and mild gaming. Still has a PATA plug, most cheapo boards are exclusively SATA now. Incredibly stable with a q6600 and 4gb of high end ram!
Cons: none
Overall Review: Had a bad flash on a way old Asus p2 board (coppermine days) years ago, had to order a new bios chip from them, $25 at the time.
