Awesome Worker!!

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 - Core 2 Duo Conroe Dual-Core 2.4 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E6600
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 - Core 2 Duo Conroe Dual-Core 2.4 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E6600

Pros: Been running this cpu with an ASUS P5B mobo for almost 6 months now and 3 Geil dual channel sticks, no OCing. I'm a musician and run software that are CPU and disk killers. Typically I am running music projects that read 12 wav files simultaneously from disk, processes them with effects, 6 MIDI channels converted to audio, all sorts of professional sound modifications and audio compression based on application plugins, converts all of that to one stereo audio stream ALL SIMULTANEOUSLY AND IN REALTIME. No problem whatsoever. Hopefully, that gives you an idea of the power here. Also, for the first time ever a virus scan occurs while I'm using the computer and I don't even know it's doing it. Yes, I like it.

Cons: Doesn't make coffee in the AM.

Blows Away Braun

Panasonic Vortex Wet/Dry Shaver with Nanotech Blades, HydraClean System, Pivot Action Selector and Turbo Cleaning Mode ES8109S
Panasonic Vortex Wet/Dry Shaver with Nanotech Blades, HydraClean System, Pivot Action Selector and Turbo Cleaning Mode ES8109S

Pros: I've used virtually all brands of electric shavers. After having a Panasonic, and then most lately a very expensive Braun for well over a year of being disgusted with it's low level of performance, I came back to Panasonic. I wouldn't dare by another brand again. This thing produces a much closer shave, is much more comfortable, and does it in half the time. It holds its charge better than other shavers too. In short, it makes all other brands seem primitive. Superior in every respect. Part of it's awesome capability has to be the hi-speed motor.

Cons: Like any electric, it can't compete with razor blade shaving for longer hairs. However, compared to other electrics it does quite well in this area.

Hard to Beat

GeIL 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model GX22GB6400UDCA=
GeIL 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model GX22GB6400UDCA=

Pros: Works flawlessly on new Asus P5B+ board with Intel E6600 processor at 800Mhz FSB.

Cons: Not one

Overall Review: I thought perhaps I could XP SP2 running PAE to access all 4GB, but that's not the case. It will only recognize just under 3GB using either 3 or 4 sticks. Not the fault of the memory. XP2 32 bit OS limitation, or possibly limitation of the mobo.

Perfect

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 - Core 2 Duo Conroe Dual-Core 2.4 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E6600

Pros: Easiest CPU install I've ever made. Running with stock Intel fan. No overclocking. No heat issues. Very stable and fast so far....hard to beat!

Cons: Huh?

Overall Review: Installed on Asus P5B+ mobo with 3 1GB sticks Geil DDR2-800 4-4-4-12. Runs perfect and FAST.

My second ASUS Board

ASUS P5B-Plus LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P5B-Plus LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Just upgraded to this board from an older ASUS board. Generally nice layout. Appreciate all the SATA connectors. Very smooth upgrade...NO surprises. BIOS and WINXP worked flawlessly to detect components and h/w changes. Great ASUS install program for chipset, and controller drivers! I found BIOS adjustments simple. I have no need to overclock. Running very stable and fast. Happy camper.

Cons: Some may run into issues with room on PCIE x1 or PCI slots where components could interfere. NP for me plugging in PCIEx16 adapter card and Audigy ZS Platinum PCI board.

Overall Review: XP SP2 running PAE should technically be able to address up to 4GB RAM, but this board will report back 2.93GB with either 3 or 4 sticks of 1GB. Not sure if other mobos will do any better. Running this board with XP SP2, 3GB DDR2 Geil 4-4-4-12, Core Duo E6600 2.4GHz 4M L2 cache, 4x SATA HDD, Sapphire 256MB DDR3 VGA, Audidy 2ZS Platinum.

Comments: Due to extensive use of detailed graphics in Photoshop I was very leary of getting any LCD monitor. However, after some research decided on the Samsung 191T+ and have absolutely no regrets. The picture is crystal clear with either analog or DVI input, colors superb and perfect for graphic and video editing at high res. Everything worked great out of the box, no dead/stuck pixels and NewEgg delivered the monitor and loads of PC components in 3 days. Now, I don't want to even look at my 19" CRT monitor on my other system....it seems so blah now.
