Pros: Does the job well, keeps the i7 6700k nice and cool.
Cons: The other reviews aren't kidding, it's difficult to install, however that fan is rock solid now.
Pros: Runs perfect, no errors, awesome heat shields.. matches with my motherboard (quite a happy accident) and I don't usually go for "looks" on my builds (another happy accident) but these look incredible.
Pros: It's lightning in a bottle, not much more to say about it. So fast, so steady and stable, I can throw anything at this baby and it doesn't even break a sweat.
Pros: Looks fantastic, works great, superb features and a fair price. Not much more a guy can ask for!
Cons: Not a major con by any means, but I have a lot of trouble getting the back plate/shield to line up properly to the motherboard when inside my case. Some ports are perfect and some prevent me from using them (like some USB ports). It wouldn't be a big deal and I'd just modify/cut the shield so pieces fit, but they made it GLOW and have cool lights! I can't cut it now! D:
Pros: Light weight, durable, functions as promised
Cons: Little smaller than I anticipated but still works perfect
Overall Review: Use this with a Dell Precision M6000 (it's a big, big laptop) and it does a great job cooling despite the obvious mismatch in size (laptop dwarfs the cooler). Still gets the job done! Would recommend to just about any laptop user.
Pros: Great sound, long cord, comfortable for awhile (see cons), interesting use of microphone/detachment.
Cons: They get a little warm after awhile, cloth and all.. but other than that, they're comfortable. I wish the cord was on the opposite side but that's more a setup preference and not really a con.
Pros: Super great quality, best cooling compound there is.
Cons: There are none.
Pros: Gosh, where to start? Amazing specs, blisteringly fast hard drive, processor, video card.. Could use a little memory upgrade but no big deal!
Overall Review: I can't believe the price of this laptop, so amazing. Refurb or not, it works great. ;) I have an extended warranty on it so if anything goes wrong on it I can update my review, but so far it feels extremely solid and performs amazingly. I love it, thanks!
Pros: Fast, reliable, sleek, easy to install, doesn't drop connection.
Overall Review: My second one of these, first one was crushed by a car door and STILL continued to operate well for over two years! I finally opted to replace it as the USB dongle was getting loose, but it still works.. heh, it'll be a nice backup I suppose. These are the best USB Wi-Fi adapters you can get, hands down!
Pros: Slim, quick, decent size, decent price.
Perfect little backup drive!
Overall Review: Big fan of WD portables. So far no problems. Can't say the same about the competitors that are SEAhawks fans.. hint.
Pros: Works perfectly for my needs (console controls)
Easy install, just plug and play
Pros: This card is as simple as it gets. The onboard NIC I had went out, I popped this in, perfecto. Inexpensive product that doesn't skip on quality.
Cons: Virtually none.
Overall Review: Thanks, Rosewill! Long time fan.
Pros: It's Ocarina of Time with better sound, better graphics, and 3D. What's not to like?
Cons: Controls a bit funky, especially after years of playing the N64 and Gamecube versions.
Overall Review: You can't own a 3DS and not have this title.
Pros: It's packaged excellently and works very well right out of the box. There's no hassle, no need for reading instructions even (perhaps minus the part where you don't plug it into anything other than a direct outlet - no extension cords, no power bars).
So far as I can tell it works as advertised with good speeds (see other thoughts).
There's really not much else to be said, it's fast, simple, and works.
Cons: The only major con I notice is that there are competing models that work just as well as this, if not better, from other companies that are a much lower price. I like Netgear enough to usually go with them by brand name alone, but it cannot justify doubling the price tag to other competitors.
Overall Review: I was able to test this with the best of what equipment I have available. My internet connection speed is not "top of the line," but it's definitely considered "average or better." I had no speed loss from the internet speed, and it worked fine in any room of my house. Again, my house isn't huge, around 1100 SQ. FT home, but testing from the furthest outlets apart, I had no issues and no signs of quality degradation. Other reviews have remarked that this can be an issue, but I can only hazard a guess that they live in much bigger homes, in cities with better internet speeds, near other homes that could possibly have interfering devices.
Bottom line, top notch product, maybe a little expensive, but would definitely recommend it as a good solution for someone in need of a Powerline Kit.
Pros: Good sound, good mic, they are comfortable
Cons: The first time these things eventually caught on fire during a charge. It was horribly dangerous. I'm lucky I wasn't injured, and stupid I didn't just lie and try to claim lawsuit. I thought it might be because I was switching chargers out sometimes (cellphone to headphones). This time, I purely stuck with the cord it came with. It was fine, and still WORKS FINE, but now the freakin' headpiece on the right side is broke off! I've been as ginger with this stuff as I could be with a china doll. It's been replaced once already. This product is just cheap plastic JUNK. I hate it. I'm so angry-i-can't-spell-the-bad-word-i-want-to-because-that's-wrong-apparently-but-selling-this-stuff-is-not-wrong-apparently. If I had paid for this, I'd be hiring a lawyer. Shame on you Corsair for your cheap ish plastic stuff.
I miss my USB logitech set.
Pros: I love the product's sleek design and presentation, and the packaging as well. You really feel like you're opening up a very fancy product. The instructions could have been better but the device is so simple to use, I could hardly see how there'd need to be more details than were provided.
This was the perfect solution to extend a wireless network in my folks house using two older wireless routers that could not used as range extenders without bulky wires all over the house or a long time of troubleshooting MAC Address and SSID settings.
The house these were used in was very long and I could detect no speed, signal, or quality loss in the connection. I love these sleek little devices, they made my job and my life a lot easier!
Cons: As mentioned earlier, there's very little instructions or documentation. Even the little mini-disc that has some PDF material on it is a bit of a hassle to get to. However, as also mentioned, these devices are pretty much plug and play and a ton of detailed instructions are not unnecessary.
Overall Review: TP-Link continues to surprise me. I really enjoy their products more and more!
Pros: It has NAT and DDWRT
Easy guest network
Decent signal if close to router
Cons: Poor signal when just a little further away than "same room," crashed on me twice, and multiple connectivity issues. I am supposed to be reviewing this product as an EggXpert but I am so frustrated with it that I'm quitting now and I'm going to reject any further router reviews for awhile. I don't want to screw with any more of them thanks to this product! Buyer beware!
Overall Review: Netgear is usually my preferred brand for routers, but they have missed the boat on this one
Pros: Way better game than the first. More quests, more environments, more things to DO. Cooler characters as well. Haven't gotten terribly far yet but so far the story looks to deliver a promising villain for a change. Gameplay is tight as usual.
Overall Review: None
Pros: Great game all around, looks awesome and runs great with the nvidia 680 (which this came with).
Pros: Has the power of two 6950's, plus a little more.
nVidia just delivers better performance all around.. drivers, colors, stability, temperatures, you name it.
25000 on 3DMark Vantage, would be a lot higher if I had an Intel processor instead of the 8 core AMD.
Cons: Little expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Overall Review: Can't wait to order a second one of these with an Intel i7! Oh if only I had money.
Pros: Bought this copy for my nephew. Been playing this game for quite awhile now. Arguably more enjoyable than BF3, and looks almost as good!
Overall Review: So very cheap. Makes a wonderful gift if you already have your own copy, so get this for your friends!
Pros: Great packaging, nice box, and super easy setup. Easiest router I've ever used. Very sleek user interface, easy to find anything one could possibly need for configuration of a router (from the simple stuff to the advanced).
More bells and whistles and features and options are on this router than any other I've ever seen, including the new AC features for some of the more "advanced" WiFi features that will become more readily available as time goes on. The auto settings did just fine for my purposes, but testing and changing things is always satisfactory for advanced users so I was pleased with those as well.
Cons: The signal strengths seemed to dip in comparison to some of my cheaper routers. Where I might have 5 full bars with a cheap router of another brand, I only had 4 with this. However, I didn't notice any different ranges between the 2.4GHz and the 5GHz bands (as mentioned by a previous reviewer), but I still had to knock a bar for the loss of signal. With a higher priced router such as this you would think "WiFi range" would be the least of your problems.
Overall Review: This is my first experience with a Western Digital router (though I'm a long time fan of their other hardware) and I have to say I was impressed.
Pros: From a device standpoint, the product simply works, works well, and works in multiple different ways. This device can be a handy tool for both the average user and also someone in the field of troubleshooting networks and network setups.
The appearance and packaging is second to none. It almost felt like an Apple product. Small, sleek design, extremely compact, and packaged in such a way that felt like a very expensive touch capable device. Some people might not think packaging is important, but sometimes it just feels good to open a nice and shiny package.
This device's five modes all work and work well, though a less experienced user might have trouble getting every mode to work. Luckily, this product ships with a nice and very to-the-point PDF on a mini-CD (will work in most standard CDROM drives or better) that will tell you everything you need to know.
Cons: I thought that the actual interface was a little.. clunky. With the quality of the rest of the device and package, the actual interface for the router once connected to the computer did leave some to be desired. Probably something that might be addressed via firmware in the future, but looks and navigation aside the UI did provide functionality.
Overall Review: TP-Link usually surprises me with their below average prices and above average quality, and this product proves no different. This is a great product, to those who have needs for a device with multiple uses you needn't look any further.
Pros: Inexpensive, runs cool, light weight, interesting design. The product does operate, but not without hiccups (see cons).
Cons: First of all, the box boasts an improved wireless range. However, over my junky standard ISP supplied modem, I lose 2 bars switching to this. Internet connection stays stable, but for some reason streaming programs like Netflix and Hulu will lock up if this device is the signal broadcaster. The “wizard” allows you to select from a multitude of ISPs, and I was surprised to see my ISP on the list. However, the settings didn’t work at all. I had to manually configure the settings myself, which is to be expected with most modems but I was disappointed I wasn’t able to take advantage of the features. If more than one person is sharing the connection, there are even significant slow downs. Overall I was not pleased with this product and I switched to my old modem supplied by my ISP.
Overall Review: I usually enjoy TP-Link products but this one falls short of every expectation. I even paired this with their TL-WN722N wireless USB network adapter and was surprised at the lack of functionality provided by this modem. Would not recommend unless you’re in need of a quick, cheap modem and will not have multiple devices running on the network at once.
Pros: Micro, lots of space (32GB), fast, works well, free adapter. Makes a wonderful gift for a camera enthusiast or a cellphone junkie (or both). Inexpensive.
Cons: None at all
Overall Review: It does what it says it will do, it's inexpensive. Perfect!
