An EPIC buy! An EPIC Experience!
Pros: Wonderful, crisp and clear 5.1 surround sound! Digital-DTS, Dolby and all Bluray formats sound amazing! Has brought an epic touch to all of my games! The sound range of the speakers is good in any layout configuration, a fine-tuned frequency range, low power consumption, small and easy to carry around (in-box)! 3.5mm Jack & RCA!!! 2 Year Warranty! SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RMA SERVICES! CHRONO TRIGGER SOUNDED EPIC ON THIS SYSTEM! :-D
Cons: Low-pitched buzzing when not receiving sound (Not a very big deal as ANY speaker will do this to a degree), Just turn 'em off at night when not using them.
Overall Review: Ordered straight from Logitechs sight. Front center & front right speakers were blown, sub cracked enormously, went through normal RMA channels on the same day it arrived. Spoke with CS on phone and they were quick to address all issues, offer solutions and when it came down to the fact that the speakers were in poor condition the lady on the phone opened up an RMA ticket right there and then explaining to their tech department the issues and providing all the info up-front, I shipped it the next day and they had a new set of speakers within 5-7 BUSINESS days (roughly 9 days). Overall WONDERFUL customer service and EXTREMELY QUICK and EFFECIENT RMA Service. The new speakers work EXCEPTIONALLY well (despite the low hum when not getting any sound, which ALL speakers do anyway). A++ and a hats off to EVERYONE at Logitech! Logitech has always been a big turn-it-around-and-run-with-it company. They are always taking the tech that they have and finding out ways to make it better while kee
Don't waste your time...
Pros: It works for about 3 months. After that, everything stops.
Cons: It dies... Figuratively speaking...
Overall Review: Like others have mentioned thus before this drive seems well at it's tasks, but after a while I too began to get calibration errors in Nero, ImgBurn, VSO and everything other burning program. Don't waste your time or your money. Spend an extra $20 and go with an LG (I know I am). What do you expect, I guess, the cheaper a piece of hardware, the cheaper it's quality; and LITEON has just gone off the deep end for me. I will not be buying or using anything LITEON ever again with the exception of their iHAS series drives. AGAIN, spend the extra $20, you'll thank yourself later.
Good speeds for platter drive, but noisy as all get out.
Pros: This drive has consistently delivered speeds of around 260 - 320 MB/s (2 - 2.5Gbps), which while may not be the ideal speed the drive is classed for, works fine for me, as I use it mainly for archival and cloud sync. It has had no issues aside from one (see cons).
Cons: Despite apparently using helium, which is supposed to allow the parts to move more freely, this drive is unbearably loud. At first, I thought my case or mount was at fault, so I chucked in a few plastic washers to absorb vibration, that didn't help. Then I placed a cloth underneath the case to absorb vibration coming off the case, still no help. This drive is so loud when the actuator is seeking (which is VERY often given I use it for cloud sync) that I can hear it clear downstairs in the kitchen (other side of the house), which is through two walls and a floor. I have yet to measure the actual decibels, but I don't believe its meant to be this loud. Searching for other reviews, I found mention of people who claimed the amount of noise from this model is remarkably louder than that of any other drives they have had in their NAS combined.
Overall Review: Not sure if it's my setup that carries vibration across the desk to the floor and through the walls, but this drive is loud. If you're using it in a rack room, or server environment, then feel free, but if you are going to use this drive in a house you live in, just be sure you can tune it out.
Insanely powerful GPU. Power hungry though.
Pros: - Decimates anything you decide to throw at it, regardless of whether or not you're running it in 720p or 4K. - Mystic Light RGB syncs with RGB colors via RGB chip and software. - Upscale AI is blazingly fast on this card. - Ray Tracing seems to impact frames very little, this card just chugs right along. - Comes with a bracket, 'cause MSI knows it's heavy.
Cons: - Fans are really loud under load. - Card tops out at about 76°C under intense load, you'll need bacon and eggs, 'cause it's hot enough to cook you breakfast (DISCLAIMER: Please do not cook food on your GPU). - Chonky, heavy, long and thicc. I have about an inch of clearance between my card and my HDD dock in a Phanteks Enthoo Pro case. - SERIOUSLY power-hungry card. It can pull 360-400W under load, easily.
Overall Review: First off, I have had the card a little over three weeks now; and have not experienced any of the artifact issues mentioned by other reviewers, so it is possible they got part of a bad batch (I took some engineering classes in high school some time back and they can have whole wafers of silicon chips that didn't make the cut and they get tossed or recycled, but some can still bleed through, it happens). Secondly, if you are lucky enough to get your hands on any variant of the 3090 series, know that depending on your PSU and how old it is, it may not be enough. I had a CoolerMaster V850 Gold 850W while running a 3060, and everything was peachy-keen, but since upgrading to this card, the transient voltage spikes were too much for my 'ol CoolerMaster to handle (almost an eight year old PSU). I ended up having to get a Corsair RM1000x and it works dandy, so just be sure that you have a PSU that's up to the task. Aside from the above, I am very happy with my purchase, and with the 4000 series on the horizon and SAMSUNG opening some new factories, I'm sure the chip shortage will resolve itself soon and everyone will have a chance to get one of these bad boys at a decent price (one can dream, right). THANK YOU NEWEGG SHUFFLE!
One of the better deals for burnable media!
Pros: • Burn well at advertised speeds. • Rebranded UMEDISC-DL1-64 (Verbatim, good brand). • Inkjet printable if your printer supports it. Disc is semi-glossed, so the label comes out looking nice if you use "Best" printer setting.
Cons: • Scratch, smudge and scuff easily, but all blank media does.
Overall Review: Disc supports 8x burning, but I use an older model DVD +/- RW drive on purpose so that I can burn at the lowest possible speeds (2.4x for these discs). It's probably nonsense, but I believe a slower burn is more accurate; and I always verify the session to be sure it's written bit-for-bit.
Decent card, slight issues.
Pros: Fade Touched Textures, Dragon Age Inquisition. Ultra High, Grand Theft Auto V. Ultra High, Crysis 3. FurMark Overburned for 16 hours and temps stayed below stress levels. Fan does get loud after about 60-70% but that is to be expected. This card really has no trouble with anything you throw at it.
Cons: Much like a few other customers, I too am experiencing issues with artifacting, but only in select titles. So far, only GTA V and Crysis 3 (both intensely graphic defined games) have experienced any issues with artifacts. Some stick around, others are gone once the refresh rate makes a few cycles. While annoying, it isn't going to be too big an issue for me, so long as it does not impact system performance or cause BSOD's.
Overall Review: MSI needs to address the artifact issue. Bad NAND flashes on some units maybe?
