Most Favorable Review

finally, a GTX 570 card that's not the size of a bus!

EVGA 012-P3-1571-AR GeForce GTX 570 HD w/Display-Port (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
EVGA 012-P3-1571-AR GeForce GTX 570 HD w/Display-Port (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: replaced my Palit GTS 250 with this sucker. SERIOUS boost in power. i'm playing Skyrim maxed ALL graphics settings with no drop in FPS in either closed or open environments (regardless of NPCs). so far played L4D2 and TF2 as well - very smooth. works like a dream. i was looking at other GTX 570-class cards - most are HUGE (10"+). the larger-size cards woulda been an extremely tight fit. i happened to find this card - it is noticeably smaller than the other 570's out there (and EVGA - a quality maker). it was a no-brainer. i was a little reluctant to go with this flavor of the EVGA GTX 570-class cards based on a few of the negative reviews here (considering there are others in that GPU class with more positive reviews), but (so far) i've got ZERO regrets. thx EVGA!!!!!!!

Cons: none so far :)

Overall Review: CM Storm Scout case ASUS Gene II Rampage mobo i7 920 OC'd to 3.7ghz 6 GB 1666mhz RAM 500GB 7200rpm HD (lol lame i know by Newegg standards)

my rig is "new" again!

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card 100228L
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card 100228L

Pros: it's AGP (great for those of us not willing to upgrade our rigs yet) easy to install (card and drivers) it's breathed a LOT of new life into my old rig

Cons: a little pricey (but a heck of a lot cheaper than a new gaming rig) a little too big (fits VERY snuggly in my case)

Overall Review: my 3.5 year old Alienware box (P4 3.0ghz HT, 2GB RAM, RAID 0 SATA drives, nVidia 6800 ultra) was aging fast. CS:S/TF2 wasn't so bad, but I had to play BioShock at low/med settings. Gears of War and Crysis weren't an option, even at the lowest settings. I installed this Sapphire card, applied drivers, and BAM. I've got Bioshock at maxed out quality (granted, on XP, so no dx10) at 1680x1050 and it runs smooth in all environments. i've got HL2ep2 maxed out and getting at least 40fps in all environments. i can't wait to finally play Crysis. BOTTOM LINE: if you're cheap like me and don't wanna drop money on a new rig, this is your answer. i'm so glad i waited a little while and stumbled onto this card.
