Fast when it works - plagued with issues
Pros: When it is working, works very fast
Cons: Doesn't work very reliably. The drive occasionally locks up completely and eventually goes to a BSOD. It will then reboot and not detect the HDD. All you have to do to correct this is completely power down the machine and start it back up, and bam, all works again. At first I thought it was a defective SSD, then I did a bit more reading (I suggest you do your research, do a quick google search on "adata s511 ssd bsod" or some such and you should see all you need to. I called Adata support (Spoke with a gentleman named Guillermo), they said they could RMA it but the issue would persist, as it was related to the SANDFORCE chipset in the Drive itself. Sandforce is working on a fix, and there is an update that should fix it (which they also had to do for the s599's, the older counterpart of this drive) and it is due out "late september".... that doesn't help me now as I am stuck with this unreliable device.
Overall Review: I wouldn't recommend this device until they sort this out, buyer beware, and be aware.
Dead on Arrival
Pros: None yet
Cons: Dead on Arrival, and quite a pain to install on the Haf-X case - the instructions are just a small panel that has zero words, just pictures, which is simple but sometimes you are looking for a little guidance ESPECIALLY when troubleshooting a problem, like the one I had when it arrived dead.
