Wow. Just Wow.
Pros: OK. I am very impressed. Dropped my X2 6400 from 38c Idle to 27c. And 50c Under Load to 39c max. And the AS 5 hasnt had time to seal. I have 2 other systems with Z****N HSF and this is very comparable. Very impressed.
Cons: Well not much of a con but my CPU bracket is turned making the fan point up (or Down) and the clip will only go one way. Like I said, not enough of a con to lower rating. I have an Antec 900 so the PSU is on bottom of case.
Overall Review: Great investment for the price. Much better than I expected. And I havent even given it time to seat the Arctic Silver.
Pros: Well it dropped my temps on a modestly OC i7 920 (3.3 up from 2.6). Temps on my older cooler were idle 39c - 42c with an ambient of 26c. After installing this with an ambient of 26c my temps dropped to 32c - 36c. My load temps under P95 were 63c with an ambient of 27c with my old cooler. Once this was installed after about 3 hrs of burn in my P95 temps were a steady 58c with a 28c ambient. Fairly simple to install.
Cons: Only one con. I burnt my i7 920. And no it was not due to an improper install. It was due to the pump quit pumping. For the first 3 days it was not left on while away or in bed. after I was comfortable with its cooling and it working I left the rig on 24/7. I had to go out of town for work for 2 days, when I got back it was still working. Went to bed that night and woke up to a loud groaning. got to my rig and it was off and would not come on. So to ID the issue I disassembled and swapped parts into another system that was running. PSU - Check - Worked fine and for 269.00 didnt expect it not to. RAM - Check - All 12 GB no issues under memtest. VGA - Check - Still going strong. CPU - XXXXX - Burnt spot on the die hs CPU Cooler - XXXXX - Acrid smell and will not power. Pump went bad.
Overall Review: Called Corsair and the are willing to RMA and send me a replacement which we all know is just a refurbed unit. HAHA Sorry I have to shell out another $300 for a new CPU thanks to this cooler and they want to give me a refurbed unit to use with it. Good thing I was still in return time with the Egg. Newegg RMA is the only reason it got any eggs. I have never had to replace a cpu due to cooling. I think I will wait and stick with the trusty Air Cooled HS until I decide to build another real H2O system.
Pros: Where to start. Its roomy, kinda compact, aesthetically pleasing. The construction is light but sturdy. Empty it wasn't flimsy. After placing 2 SSD's PSU, MB, Full Length VGA, and H100i water cooler the weight was increased substantially but not overbearing. Cable management was great although I do suggest a fully modular PSU with shorter cables. Front fan is quiet but I will likely replace it for more static pressure. Side fan was removed to accommodate the H100i. But even as I write this I am doing a burn in and the system is only 28* C and I am sure it wont go much higher.
Cons: None that I can find yet. But I will update after more than a day of ownership.
Overall Review: I got it today and it is a very nice case. I am coming from a Fractal Design R3 (which is a beast to move), Full ATX Hackintosh and wanted something smaller in our new home. I built this new system to sit on the bookshelf next to my desk and I am very happy with it. My System: Corsair Obsidian Series 250D GIGABYTE GA-Z87N-WIFI Intel Core i7-4771 CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Seasonic SS-660XP2 SanDisk Extreme II SDSSDXP-480G-G25 for OSX SanDisk Extreme II SDSSDXP-480G-G25 for Windows Western Digital WD VelociRaptor WD6000BLHX PNY GeForce GTX670 2GB VGA ASUS Black Blu-ray Burner BW-16D1HT ASUS PB278Q 27" 5ms (GTG) WQHD Even with all of this installed (minus the Monitor of course) the weight is manageable. This is not a case I expected to be able to tote with me, I just wanted smaller than the full ATX system I had before. but capable of running what I need. This case fit the bill and so far I think I made the right choice.
Pros: This drive is fast and sharp. Works better between Win 7 and OSX than my previous Seagate.
Cons: As with all drives, a bit slow when moving many small files to it. Paid more on The River 3 months ago.
Overall Review: The reviewer who complained about the Virtual CD taking 70 GB, and who claims to have a 'Somewhat High' Tech level, really should do his homework before he writes a negative review based on that alone. NO, I repeat, NO Drive that says it is 1TB is actually 1TB. When formatted they ALL are roughly 931GB. Whether formatted in HFS+, NTFS, EXT3 or EXT4. So WD didnt take 70 GB of his disk, he just didnt know what he was talking about. Most if not ALL HDD's and SDD's state on the label or packaging that the available space may be less than * (TB,GB,MB) when formatted. So a negative review based on lack of knowledge is why Newegg should only allow verified purchase reviews. And remove the so called Tech Level option since anyone can claim a High level yet prove otherwise in the comment like below.
Great for BT enabled Laptops
Pros: Great mouse for laptops with Bluetooth built in. Plenty of buttons for most any use. Got it cheaper on the River by 10 and free 2 day shipping.
Cons: Can sometimes lose connectivity when idle for to long. ie. when typing a lot.
Overall Review: Only reason I am writing this review here is the number of negative reviews from people like me who did not buy it from Newegg. I bought 3 of these and have had no problems. They came from different batches so its not a fluke. Bought one then another 2 months later for my wife, then I bought a 3rd for my son 3 weeks ago. If there is a problem with this mouse then more people would have piped up. But out of all the negative reviews only one is verified purchased here on Newegg. Honestly they should not allow reviews from those who have not purchased from here, like me.
Computer Return Policy
Pros: Refurbed i7 17" cheap. Dell Quality
Cons: Have same laptop from dell with no issues.
Overall Review: This is in response to first review. This has a full 30 day replacement from Newegg. If it was opened and did not come on, Newegg will RMA it and send a replacement. Done this several times on refurbed laptops. So dont see what the issue is for the 1 egg. If Newegg refused to honor their own policy then yeah. But 3 eggs would suffice for not working, poor QC, etc and get a replacement from Newegg since you wanted it to begin with.
