Best Bang for the Buck
Pros: Quiet and fast. Good bang for the buck.
Cons: Ordered two drives for a RAID mirror. One was DOA. I have purchased many Seagate drives, this is my first DOA. Law of averages I guess.
Worst printer I have ever owned
Pros: Cheap
Cons: . Frequent paper jam errors (no jam) . Cleans itself more than my wifes cat.... I often have to wait for it to clean itself after printing a handful of documents. . Frequent loud snap/clcking noise. I'm waiting for a piece of something to come flying out. . Whe a color cartridge runs out, won't print my black faxes. . Fax log too small to be useful, log fills up and doesn't print faxes if a color cartridge is spent and you are not babysitting the device. . Tech support.....need I say more.
Overall Review: Don't buy it. In fact, don't accept it as a gift either.
DOA
Pros: Thinking
Cons: I forgot to mention in my first post. The first unit was DOA. The micro USB connector at the drive is marginal and this drive would not stay connected.
Kills my system
Pros: Automatic backup (sort of).
Cons: Data transfer is slow (expected). While the software is running in the "background" it knocks my Vista (3.GHz P4/ 4GB RAM) to its knees. Everything becomes a quick and wait. I have 3 hard drives: C; G; & H. The automatic backup only performs backups on the C drive. Unfortunately, my data is on the G drive.
Overall Review: I have a friend who bought the same drive for his Windows 7 muscle machine. He made the same comment about the backup software killing system performance. He disconnects from his system to regain performance.
18 month memory
Pros: Cheap
Cons: I bought two of these about 6 months apart. They both failed in about 18 months.
