USB keyboard issues in BIOS

GIGABYTE GA-Z97N-WIFI LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard

Pros: In June 2014 June the price per feature was good. For the number of ports for USB 3, HDMI, SATA, and for the LGA-1150 socket, 2x LAN (whoa), and wireless ac, the price for competitors was generally higher. Not much more needs to be said about what is good about this board, since beyond this, to me I only care that the board fulfills its claims.

Cons: I've been experiencing issues with the motherboard in some way I've yet to discern. When I turn on the computer I sometimes cannot use the keyboard to get into the BIOS or to select a boot option. I've switched between keyboards, and tested on different usb ports, but to no success. I cannot easily replicate the issue easily as it is transient, but when it hits, it's frustrating because it lasts for awhile. I cannot figure out why it begins working again after some time of waiting and rapid key pressing, nor if my actions have any relation to the seemingly spontaneous resolutions. BIOS. As a minor issue the BIOS is very disorganized. I was unsure if any one menu was the right one without any items left out, which is surprising given how much visual gui fanciness they put into it. But it's not that serious since I don't really anticipate spending much time in the BIOS. But my main frustration is the transient keyboard non-detection issue, because that means I can't even get to my OS.

Overall Review: The default antenna would disconnect on me to an annoying degree, but once replaced it was no problem. It may have been a range issue. Also, I don't know if the descriptions mention this, but the default antenna is magnetic for the purposes of sticking by the side of your case.
