Pros: This laptop looks great and the sound is very nice. It comes with a great processor, ram and gfx card. They don't note it but this model does include the portable dvd drive. It runs cool and quiet. Very skinny and light.

Cons: The screen is just as awful as everyone else has said. The hdd is also VERY slow and loaded down with bloatware.

Overall Review: In the end you are getting what you paid for with this laptop. sacrifices have to be made somewhere for it to be priced so cheap. I just wish the screen could at least compare to my daughters $400 Asus. Yes.... it's that bad. Not just because it's a TN panel but because it is a VERY cheap TN panel. Any angle at all will distort the already dim picture.

Sad day.

ASUS ROG Swift 27" 1440P Gaming Monitor (PG278Q) - QHD (2560 x 1440), 144Hz, 1ms, G-SYNC, USB 3.0, DisplayPort, Pivot, Tilt, Swivel, Height Adjustable
ASUS ROG Swift 27" 1440P Gaming Monitor (PG278Q) - QHD (2560 x 1440), 144Hz, 1ms, G-SYNC, USB 3.0, DisplayPort, Pivot, Tilt, Swivel, Height Adjustable

Pros: Nice 144hz refresh rate, viewing angels aren't as bad as they used to be on a TN panel.

Cons: The "very" matt finish made everything look like pixelated junk, the brightness is just sad, Gsync doesn't feel / look any different than 120hz / 144hz. This is worth about half what they ask.

Overall Review: Returned to MC where I purchased it and kept my Benq 32' AHVA.

Another great chip from intel

Intel Core i5 6th Gen - Core i5-6600K 6M Skylake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80662I56600K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 530
Intel Core i5 6th Gen - Core i5-6600K 6M Skylake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80662I56600K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 530

Pros: High IPC pared with some fast DDR4 is fantastic for single threaded games such as WoW and other MMOs. Runs cool even in a small case with a mild OC.

Cons: None.

Gskill is great as always.

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C15D-8GVR
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C15D-8GVR

Pros: Zero issues, installed, went to bios and checked XMP profile, done. Since this purchase I have grabbed another set which again works just fine.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I've purchased tons of Gskill memory for various builds, never had a problem, often times you can OC them further and tighten timings, I haven't tried yet this time as it fits my needs as is.

Surprisingly good for the price

Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-M2 Black Micro ATX Computer Case
Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-M2 Black Micro ATX Computer Case

Pros: Solid little case, sturdy, everything has been working just fine for months. It has held up well even after 2 full builds and random part swapping.

Cons: Poor cable management but I won't knock a star for it, you "can" cram everything in the space behind the motherboard, it just made closing the back a little challenging.

Overall Review: Only comes with 1 fan, grabbing a second would be a good idea.

No issues

ASUS Z170M-PLUS LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS Z170M-PLUS LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Installed without issue and has been running fine on Win10 for months, given the other reviews, maybe I got lucky? OC bios options are nice although the layout could be better. The fan settings are great.

Cons: The board is thin and flimsy so be careful, only 2 fan headers, 1 more would have been super.

Overall Review: There weren't many options for a micro build when I was shopping, a couple very high priced boards and a few around 100-140. I tried Asrock first and it was DOA.
