Athena Power AP-MFATX40P8 20+4Pin 400W Single Server Power Supply 80+ Bronze Certified
Athena Power AP-MFATX40P8 20+4Pin 400W Single Server Power Supply 80+ Bronze Certified

Pros: quiet powers i7, 8g 1600 RAM On-board video hd3000 I clocked this thing well over in an extremely small case, fan only wound all the way up a couple of times.....then quieted back down.

Cons: There are a few more leads than I required.....two pciex6, and 2 molex by4. this isn't really a knock on the unit......for my application that's all.

Overall Review: I contacted Athena about cutting off the leads. They said it will void the warranty, but If I insulated the 'nubs' well it shouldn't be a problem. Then they said send it back and we'll do it for you....and the warranty would still be good. I did it myself rather than wait out all the shipping time....but hey! customer support "We'll do your modification if you want"....who does that? Wow........

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: NewEgg

Cons: 1 memory channel didn't work at all....not 1 mem. slot, the entire a1, b1 channel (wouldn't post with a stick in either), It ran on a2, b2...I set up the drives then RMAed. Problem was that I had to get cables made for the PSU, so was past 30 days before I unboxed it. ASRock said to get RMA from NewEgg....even after the 30 days was up. I called them and they did it....NewEgg to the rescue.

Overall Review: I find it very hard to believe that an entire memory channel made it through ASRocks pre-shipping tests....and got messed up in the mail. OR........they need to find new, more effective testing methods. I am now 3 weeks behind schedule (1.5 due to PSU cables being late)...and have a client who I have been ducking calls from. The entire situation is beyond frustrating.

Yup.

G.SKILL Trident Z Neo (For AMD Ryzen) Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin RGB DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16D-32GTZN

Pros: Runs faster than 3600 without my having to tweak anything beyond enabling the XMP. b-die works as the internet says it does.

Cons: RGB....I adjusted it do just white with the g-skill software. I didn't really want any RGB stuff....but figured, "what the heck", and left it on.

Overall Review: Have 3900x, AS Rock x570 Pro4. I had 32gig of 3000 Patriot Viper in there....bottle-necked the whole rig. Looked around and found out this ram did the infinity fabric @ 3600. Yup....it runs at just under 3800.....stable as can be. Put it in the XPM profile...it tweaked the timings by itself....this thing is a slayer now. Highly recommend for the 3900x.

MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Graphics Card RTX 2060 SUPER VENTUS GP OC
MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Graphics Card RTX 2060 SUPER VENTUS GP OC

Pros: Cool Quiet Eats what ever I feed it

Cons: The GP is supposed to be a brushed aluminum back plate.....came with cheesy plastic one Not great clocking past the factory over clock

Overall Review: Ok, so the 3 series is right around the corner. There's a lot to be said about Ampere. But I went for a 2060, so I'd be going for the same level cost-wise in a 3 series. The thing is, this card is awesome. Since no-one can compare it to a card you can't get yet....also so few games even use the bells and whistles that gen 3 concentrated on....we'd have to wait for the majority of that stuff too. If this card ever doesn't perform across the board....well, we'll worry about it then...a year, or 2 or 3 from now.

Don't Remeber

Seagate BarraCuda XT ST32000641AS 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate BarraCuda XT ST32000641AS 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: This is the third computer it has been in. I don't really remember when I bought it.....(ironic....don't remember...memory device?). I am not a huge fan of seagate....the reason I bought this is that it was the only large platter available in SATAIII at the time (very shortly after SATAIII came out). I have backed this drive up many times, and even had one of the BUP drives fail ...and this one is still going.

Cons: I have had my share of SGs brick. Enough that I use desk stars and caviar blacks almost exclusively for platters. I tried that ssd/hdd hybrid SG...it's probably still alive somewhere...but it didn't impress me.

Overall Review: I currently have this drive in line with an SSD cache....and I don't know if it is just this drive or not.....but it has been a solid performer for 2 years or more?....and one of the few parts that made the move into the last 2 upgrades.

Intel Gift - Intel T-Shirt Black
Intel Gift - Intel T-Shirt Black

Pros: You can never have enough T-shirts....free stuff is fun........

Cons: ....no matter what you paid for the CPU

Overall Review: Better than the AMD shirt as far as functionality goes, but the graphics are a still a bit behind.
