Very Poor Customer Service
Pros: Very quiet, especially for a server. Gave nearly a year of non-stop service.
Cons: Do not purchase for home businesses or home use. HPE does not want to honor their warranty if parts need to be shipped to a residential address.
Overall Review: Do not recommend to human beings, only to corporations. After nearly a year of service, the system board died and took BOTH RAID drives with it. No matter how high quality of electronics, that's a possibility and I understand that. I don't blame HPE for the disaster. I'm sure it wasn't something they planned. I don't rate companies based on if their stuff has normal problems. I do rate them on how they deal with those problems and well, this isn't a way to handle it. I was told I needed to either provide a "corporate" address (apparently I can't have it shipped to an LLC, or single proprietorship address) or provide the receipt (does anyone who buys a server actually get a paper receipt and if they do, are there many corporations that keep paper receipts past the tax year?) as well as photographic proof of the serial number. Now I get to wait through the weekend while they "evaluate" my submission. Prior to their discovery that it was a home address, it was about to ship.
