Too much fun
Pros: BIG.. . Glides like a champ, aims mouse quickly for point and shoot. Room for panic waving. Thumbs up for melee.
Cons: Nothing. Had it for 2.5 years.
Overall Review: Pretty big. Loads of fun. Who says the tools you use don't make much difference! I'm 69 years old and playing online games with kids is a lot of work! I gotta whip these kids into shape. Come into my online battlefields with cheats and smart attitudes on Daddy's CAD computer, gonna put them in their place.
It's in the garage
Pros: Good performance for a short time. Used to cool a HD7950 gpu card. Nicely made.
Cons: Not enough coolant. Started gargle. Got louder every week. Heated up.
Overall Review: Like I said, the radiator, pump and construction all really well made. Never leaked, Just not enough coolant.
4 Slot Monster Urban Assault GPU
Pros: This heatsink is an absolute monster. It fills 4 slots on the motherboard. It's a beast of a cooler. The AMD Vega64 with the stock cooler (boost clocks 1635mhz) would safely reach 1670mhz/70c. With the Morpheus 2, I was able to cruise at 1750mhz/35c. The highest game sustainable clocks reached 1810mhz/60c. I didn't try to push it. I just wanted to safely get to 1800mhz.
Cons: The little heatsinks for the VRM, MOSFETs, etc. were aluminum. They fall off with the thermal double face tape. Use thermal glue. If you can, find copper heatsinks. They're out there. They cool better. The heatsinks closest to the gpu die block had to be filed down a bit to get under the cooler's mounting bracket.
Overall Review: I purchased some 'Be Quiet' fans Silentwings 3 PWM 120mm and I checked the fit. Big thumbs up here. Replace all aluminum heatsinks with copper ones. You'll need thermal glue to paste the heatsinks on. You'll be happier if you do.
This replaced my liquid cooler
Pros: After 6 1/2 years of owning a liquid cooler set up in my 3770k machine, I removed it because the pump motor was getting a little old shaky. I replace it with the Artic Freezer and was impressed at how well it cools. 3c to 5c difference from the liquid cooler isn't much to complain about. Above that, I would suspect it wasn't doing it's job.
Cons: Funky way of saving paper to get an owner's manual.
Overall Review: Simple figuring out how it mounts, cools pretty good. Can chase the hot summer air to cooler temperatures. Pleased I bought this.
These fans are great!
Pros: April 2018: I bought these on a recommendation from another user and I'm a believer in the product. They're quiet and move air without fanning it out. Replaced four Corsair fans. Keeps everything cool like a boss. February 2022: I'm planning my new computer. I will again add these fans.
Overall Review: They sorta looked cheap but that changed in a hurry. Worth every penny. I'm buying more.
Modded because it wasn't worth it.
Pros: Tech sites raved about this mouse so I went out and bought it. Had 'dry' slick sides and would slip out of my hand. So I bought grips for it. Modified the the battery size to make it lighter. Was better balanced. It was good for 8 months.
Cons: Whoever picked the DPI settings should've asked the gamers. After 6 months the right side mouse button began 'double click'. I replaced the right & left click buttons with Kailh 8.0 switches. Had to remove the screws which required me to replace the sliders (feet). No extra sliders were provided. No problem.. . DIP switch failed after 2 months. That's a problem.
Overall Review: Making the sides a little flatter with a grips would make this mouse most excellent. You need Adobe to open the user's manual. Should have some dedicated software. You have to download G Hub to set your macros and programs. G Hub is like having a 3 in 1 kitchen appliance but can't do 2 of the functions. Course, other attachments like the meat chopper and emulsifier don't come with it. Not a fan of one software for 4 products. Switches are cheap. wear out too soon.
I used another brand of thermopast to finish the job.
Normally this stuff arrives in less than 5 days. It took almost 3 weeks to get to me. By then I used a lesser brand to get the job done. It actually works pretty good. So put the Artic thermo paste on the shelf till I need it. There's no need to take a complicated gpu card apart when it's running better than new.
Got my stuff
Got 2/3 of my stuff pretty quick. The wallet came within 4 days. Mouse pad came 5 days. The MX thermo paste.. . meh, took 3 weeks. At the end of the 2nd week, I used a lesser brand to complete the job. Not happy about that. The other brand did good. Phifft. I'll save the MX for another job.
Rare & small heatsink
Heat is always a sore topic with gpu, motherboard and board makers. They do their best to navigate through it. Sometimes they leave us to figure our own solutions and clues. Solutions like these little heatsinks. These are just what I've been looking for. I hope they never stop making these little things. They get the job done.
