Works, but noisy

Pros: Works as expected.
Cons: At 12V this fan spins at ~10,000RPM and makes a very noticeable and annoying whining sound.
Overall Review: I'm using this fan to cool the LSI 2308 SAS chip on my SuperMicro X10SL7-F motherboard, which tends to run hot. It does the job... but is noisy at doing it. They system is housed in a Fractal Design Define R4 case, so my work-around for now is to place the fan on the case's fan controller and run it at 7V, moving all case fans to the motherboard. At 7V the fan is fairly quiet. It's inaudible at 5V -- but won't spin up on reboot after the system is powered down. Were this option not available to me, I would remove the fan and seek another solution.
