Pros: Ryzen 7
Audio - Comes with a USB C Dac
The best unboxing experience ever
Cons: Had some issues with wifi to start with but seems to have stopped after updates. It would be very slow until I reconnected or switched SSIDs after waking up form sleep. However updates seem to have resolved the issue.
Overall Review: About Me: For the past 7 years I have been working in corporate/enterprise I.T. - I worked for over 10 years at a computer shop building and repairing desktops and laptops.
I looked for a few weeks for a Windows laptop that I could justify buying over one of the new Apple M1's. This was it, Ryzen 7 competes with the M1 much better then even the new intel 11th gen i7's. You would have to pay over double for an M1 Mac with 16GBs and 1TB NVMe SSD. I played LoL with over 100 FPS with default settings and it looked great. Capture one edits Sony A7rII photos just fine, 42MPs. I also use Davinci Resolve and I have had no issues encoding 4k videos. Build quality is outstanding, this looks amazing. Battery last much longer then any laptop I've ever used. Asus needs to keep doing this!!!
Pros: Well Built, lots of room, SSD mount, bottom mount power supply decent cable management
Overall Review: You have to remove the front panel to remove the drive inserts.
Pros: Solid Keyboard, USB and Audio ports work fine. Lots of features. Perfect size.
Cons: The right side space bar key (smaller side) doesn't seem to work but not an issue since I don't use that key anyway but enough to take off an egg,
Overall Review: It came in the original box, could barely tell it had even been opened. Keyboard was warped in plastic, owner manual had not been opened at all and the case sticker was still inside.
Pros: Lots of space, looks nice, solid construction, fits a full size PCI-Ex Video Card (ATI 4850) with out issue. Good air flow, saves space. Has a mount for a SSD . Holds a standard ATX Power Supply.
Cons: No USB 3.0 on the front. Bottom thumb screw hits the power supply if you try to put it in. For some reason they made the thumb screws wider then your normal hard drive screw, which is why it does this.
Overall Review: This is a great little case, the price only makes it better. Remember this only holds Micro ATX motherboards. I don't know why people can't read the details on some of the things they order.
Pros: 500 watt, good cable length, solid power supply. Powers a ATI 4850 with out issues.
Overall Review: Best power supply for the money. The ATI 4850 is a little old but for my 8 year old it works fine.
Pros: It works
Overall Review: Out of all the G.Skill memory I've only had one stick that was bad and Newegg replaced it with out any issues.
Pros: Lots of options, looks better in my case then in the pictures. USB 3.0 front panel port on the motherboard (which was surprisingly hard to find with the AM3+ Socket). Installation was easy, nice lay out. Great BIOS, lighting fast boot. Zero issues. 990FX Chipset. The onboard audio solution is so much better then what was on my previous motherboard.
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: I built a computer for a friend a few years and used an ASRock motherboard in his build and it is still running today with out any issues. This was my first ASRock motherboard I bought to use myself. I'm super pleased with this product and will start to recommend ASRock to anyone building a new PC.
I have been a computer tech since 1997. I am now a Systems Admin during the week but still help out at the local computer store on the weekends.
Pros: First off My CPU - AMD Phenom II x 4 965 (3.4Ghz) 125 Watt
With the stock AMD heatsink - Idle 48-50c - full load 65-70c
With Zalman heatsink - Idle 38c - Full load 50-52c
Instructions were good and installation was easy
A lot quieter then the AMD stock Heatsink/fan
Looks really nice in my case
Cons: Though a lot quieter then the stock heatsink, it is still the loudest thing in my case. Of course my tower sits right next to my monitor, so this is probably the only reason I notice it as much as I do.
Overall Review: For the price range this is one of the best cooling solutions out there. I also noticed a lot of other reviews that complain about noise levels, which I can see if your used to 95 watt and below stock coolers but for a 125 watt cooler that keeps the CPU this cool, some fan noise is to be expected.
I started working as a computer tech (building and repairing computers) back in 1997 and still do so today. Though I am a Systems Admin during the week, I still help out at the local computer store on the weekends.
Pros: I do some video editing/rendering/capture, a lot of gaming from PS2/GW2/WoW/MW3/GS:GO/D3/SC2/LoL/TSW with out issues. Windows Defender is now a full anti-virus so there is no need to have one running in the back ground. I find myself loving all the apps and games. Works just fine for desktop computing.
Cons: still have to disable indexing. You have to use task manager instead of msconfig to disable start up items and most are not listed so you have to use regedit and browse/delete them.
Overall Review: The more you use it the better it gets. I can't see myself going back to 7. My wife also had to have it after seeing some of the apps I was using.
Pros: Plays CoD:MW3 with no lag, of course this handles WoW with no issues on Ultra settings. Also plays SWTOR just fine. Runs cool - Low fan noise. 192bit DDR5 which is nice for a card in this price range most cards in this price bracket use 128Bit memory. Windows 7 -WEI- Score 7.3
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Upgraded from a 9600GT 1GB 256Bit DDR3 -
3D Mark Vantage with 9600GT: 4130 (Graphics Score)
3D Mark Vantage with GTX 550Ti: 10233 (Graphics Score)
Biostar A770E3 ATX MB
12GB 1333 DDR3 G.Skill RipjawsX
AMD Athlon II x3 3.1Ghz (Wouldn't Unlock)
Antec 430 C Watt Green PS (500 Watt max)
Seagate 500GB Sata II HD
MSI Nvidia Geforce GTX 550Ti 1GB 192bit DDR5
NZXT Gamma ATX Case
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64Bit
Pros: Black and Red colors through out. This was a budget gaming build and WoW, Fall Out 3, Dragon Age...etc all play great. No issues so far.
Cons: USB 2.0 - Sata 2 - Layout could be a little better - Only 1 Fan Connector (Not counting CPU fan connector) but knew all of this before hand.
Overall Review: Also comes in a camo painted box not the green one showed. Layout is the same. I have a 9600GT Video Card paired with 4GBs Ram and a Athlon II x3 Proc powered by an Antec 430w Earthwatts PS -NZXT Gamma Case.
Pros: Looks nice
Cons: PCB Bowed..... Not sure if this will have any effect on the card working or not at this point. Most Intel mother boards do this when you install the heat sink and the bowing doesn't effect them.
Overall Review: I am still waiting on my CPU to get here, so I am not yet able to test this cards performance.
Pros: Low cost and works as it should. Also I have used these drives in many builds never had one returned... though one will come back now that I said that.
Overall Review: I have worked in a computer shop since 1997. I have built countless numbers of custom computers. Though I still get amazed at what walks through the door sometimes on repair jobs.
Pros: Well constructed, Good cable length, Good connectors. For the price - shipped - I don't think you will find a better power supply. Powers my system with no issues.
Asus mATX AM2+/AM3 MB
4 x 1 Gig DDR2 800
AMD Athlon II x4
ATI 4670 512 MB DDR3
320 Gig WD Sata HD
500 Gig WD Sata HD
Samsung Sata DVD/RW
APEVIA X-QBOII X mATX Case
Cons: Wires - Would love to have black mess around them to cover them up.
Overall Review: The fan on my other PSU failed - bearings seized - It was a 500 watt PSU that came with my case. I work for a local computer shop and replacing power supply's is an everyday thing for me. So I see a lot of them and this one, so far, is a great PSU.
Pros: Better then expected good sound qulity, Mic works fine.
Overall Review: Looking for a good gaming headset this is it.
Pros: Looks nice, Proforms nice. Play's World of Warcaft: WotLK just fine. Even get smooth frame rates in Dalaran. Haven't tried any other games yet but I'm sure it will perform well.
Overall Review: Fit in my Micro-ATX motherboard no issues in a Mini-tower. Did take up one PCI Slot and the one right next to it I put in a wirless card. Not alot of room between them but there's enough. AMD x64 2.3ghz, 2 gigs OCZ memory, Asus Motherboard, Vista Home Basic 32 bit.
Pros: It worked right out of the box. No issues with voltage or timing what so ever.
Overall Review: Plug and Play what more do you want.
Pros: Rounded edges, solid, plenty of room for a mini-tower. Great air flow. Power supply is great. HIS Randon HD 4670 IceQ Turbo fits with no problems.
Cons: Cable management is a nightmare due to the fact that the motherboard sets upside down.
Overall Review: This is the best Mini-Tower I have ever worked with. Wouldn't buy any other Mini-Tower case.
Pros: No dead pixels, No discoloration around the corners, No ghosting, World of Warcraft WoTLK looks great, came with a DVI Cable. Type and pictures are nice and crisp. 1680x1050 res.
Cons: Non for this price rang. Height adjustment would be nice, Can't flip vertical. But these features, for me, are not worth 200 more dollars.
Overall Review: I haven't received the rest of my order yet and have not been able to test out any other games, WAR -CSS/HL2. I've owned many LCD's . This one is one of the best I've seen.
Pros: This case is not bad for the price, it is not real hard to work with and it looks better then in the pics.
Cons: They should not even include a power supply. With the mobo, case fan, HD and CD rom connected to it it would not power the case lights on the front of the case and the ps
died after 2 months.
Overall Review: You will need to get an extra ps. I recommand this anyway for not many case come with good ps.
