Pros: Very reliable burns after firmware update.

Cons: Got coasters 4 out of 5 when I first started using these disks. They only burned at 8x very unreliably. Was very disappointed by the lack of quality that Ridata had. Was about to toss the remaining disks when I decided to update the firmware of my Lite-on drive. Has worked flawlessly since.

Overall Review: Update your firmware. Especially if you have an older drive. Mine is about 2 years old Lite-on. I would buy these disks again.

Pros: Large capacity, cool, low noise.

Cons: Got two of these guys. Installed one the day I got it worked great never an issue. 2nd one, I was dumb and waited 32 days to install. Was DOA. Bad Sectors would freeze computer etc. No luck with RMA with newegg (my fault). Did RMA with Samsung and they went super smooth. Very fast turnaround. Got replacement drive and that was DOA as well. Samsung paid shipping back and got a new drive in a few days. Haven't had an issue since.

Overall Review: I would buy these drives again. I think my DOA was an isolated issue, I currently have about 5 Samsung HD's and I plan on buying more when needed.

Pros: Works pretty well with skype. Installation is on a small cd and requires virtually no input from user.

Cons: This is actually the second one I got. The first I had to RMA (which seemed to take a while) but the RMA still went smoothly. The first one sounded fine however the microphone had a constant humming for the receiving party. I tried 3 computers in total with same results. Got the new one and everything seems to be fine.

Overall Review: The volume may be a little low for use in vehicle. Seems to be fine at the computer. It might just be me but it feels like the headset is going to fall off my head. But even shaking my head to the point of a headache it still doesn't come off.

Pros: This is a follow up from my earlier post. (see post 2 below for more details) Burns at 16x on my new drive. No coasters as of yet, (burnt aprox 15 disks so far) Nice quality of disks good writing surface.

Cons: Burn time for full disk not that much faster than 8x. But still it is faster

Pros: Love this brand! Out of about 600 disks thus far with RiData I have only had about 2 coasters, and that was probably my fault. Haven't fully tested this particular media... see cons

Cons: Burns only at 4x on my LiteOn SOHW-1633s. Naturally that dive is only a 8x in Dvd-R but I would have expected at least that. Burns at 8x on my BenQ 1625, which again is an 8x drive so it works as expected there. I thought it would be a good excuse to purchase a true 16x drive so I went with LiteOn SHW-160P6S. I will update upon testing in the new drive.

Pros: Works fine. Using it as an external drive. Doesn't get too hot pretty quite.

Cons: Nothing really, This is my first WD drive, Usually I can move the jumpers with just my fingers. With this one I had to pull out the needle nose. Again nothing wrong
