Pros: This card absolutely pushes the ability of my AGP 8x PRO slot to its limit! Drivers work both on Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows 7 Pro (not beta). Gives the system a Windows Experience Index of 6.7 in both Desktop and Gaming Graphics (out of 7.9). Plays all games out there, including COD4, CODWAW, FSX, and BF2142 just to name a few that i have tried.
Cons: Was a bit tricky for the drivers to get installed on Win7 Pro, although that was not the card's fault.
Overall Review: Make sure to have a free power connector for this card, I realize that most AGP card motherboards may not have one free.
Pros: This drive is incredibly fast. Granted, its an ssd. That said, this particular ssd outpaces most anything else on the market right now. Windows experience index rates it at 8.1 Windows 8 boots in under 9 seconds. Diskmark score: 4021
Overall Review: Actual capacity: 111GB This comes with mounting brackets for a 3.5" bay Tested with following setup: i5-3570k OC Msi ZZA-G45 2x 4GB Kingston HyperX @ 1600MHz (KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX)
Pros: FAST, this drive is 7200RPM which means it screams past average laptop HDD's, and with its esata interface it can outperform them on every level as well. This drive is faster than my internal 5400, but that is to be expected. Extremely reliable, I've had it for a whole year and it has not ever faulted me once, so I guess that means 100% reliability for me, and that is not easy to do because I abuse my disks with constant use. Nice blue status light and red error light (which I have personally never seen, thank goodness). The power switch feels nice and crisp after switching the drive on/off every day for a year. Also, the styling is very nice, I would not hesitate to show it off.
Cons: I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, and on neither esata or usb connection mode can I get this drive to auto off like my others. I guess the enclosure does not have that feature.
Overall Review: I've had this drive for a year and a week now, so I know all about this drive. Some may say it runs hot, but I don't think it is out of this drive's tolerance ratings, because not once have I turned it off because of "excessive" heat and it has not failed me yet. It feeling hot means the aluminum enclosure is doing its job to dissipate the heat. I know it's discontinued, but if you can find it anywhere, probably best esata 2TB HDD.
Greatest Monitor Ever
Pros: This monitor is VERY heavy on the specs- 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio 23" Diagonal measure 2048 x 1152 Touch sensitive menu buttons Nice stand (for the price) I've had this monitor for a while now and waited to write a review because I wanted to wait until I could compile enough information. I am telling you now, this is THE BEST monitor you can get especially for the price. I got this when it was just below $200 from here and I am the envy of my friends. Games play beautifully, no ghosting whatsoever, it runs at 60Hz which is more than enough for smooth gameplay, especially in FPS games such as COD.
Cons: This isn't much of a con for me, but I would like to throw it out there so the rest of you know, there is NOT an HDMI port on this monitor, so make sure to buy a lil cheap adapter if you need it.
Overall Review: Make sure to push the stand in with all of your might! The thing really snaps in there and is kind of tricky to get right.
Pros: As you may already know, the main pro is the active noise reduction. It does what it says, and I am very impressed at how much it actually cancels out. It cancels out mostly the lower frequencies, such as the appliance hum or wind. I use these when I fly, slip them in under my headset, making it a cheap alternative to active noise reducing headphones. They cannot effectively cancel out the human voice, which makes them ideal for listening to the air-to-air communications in my area. The passive does most of the work, even better when you take off what they have already on there and slip on the memory foam coverings. I also use these for lawn work by themselves, and I can't hear the mower or edger when it's on, I must rely on the vibrations they send through the handle, which is amazing!
Cons: At higher volume, the bass on these tend to cancel out all other parts of the song that I listen to, making it quite an annoyance. Other than that, These are 5-egg worthy.
Overall Review: Make sure to watch for people trying to get your attention when wearing these combined with music, because it happened to me and nearly hit them with a rock while edging!
Pros: The greatest Pro of this product has to be the noise level. I cannot tell when it spins up because of the low noise. Another plus is the access times, which are very high as I have noticed them. The read/write times are also maxed out for the IDE connector, which is great.
Cons: The only con I have with this product is that it sits considerably far back on the front of the tower than that of other drives, and the reason for that being is that it is a smaller drive.
Overall Review: This product is definetly worth the money, so if you are stuck with IDE and don't want to buy a SATA controller (like me) than this is the DVD/CD burner combo drive to get.
