Not Compatible With Leopard OS X 10.5

Pros: It's Techtool Pro, the industry standard for Mac maintenance... what more needs to be said?
Cons: Seems a lil' buggy initially after install. Defragmenting hard drive (160G) seemed to take a lil' too long... 10+ hours! Will not work with Leopard 10.5.
Overall Review: This version (4.5.2) is NOT compatible with OS X 10.5 Leopard. Since it is a major system upgrade, Micromat will NOT offer free upgrades via download. If purchased within 30 days (mail from Micromat dated 11/01/07), they will be happy to send an updated DVD when available for no charge. After 30 days the updated DVD is $25 plus shipping.
Not Reliable

Pros: Looks cool
Cons: Not very reliable, unable to mount 80-90% of the time.
Overall Review: Don't know what chipset Lacie is using for this drive, but both USB and Firewire ports do not mount reliably. This drive looks nice, and the multi-I/O is a good idea, but when it doesn't work it's no better than a brick for a doorstop. And not really that rugged, 4 small/thin foam squares are used internally for shock isolation. The external rubber bumper is a nice touch if you drop the thing, but if you have as much luck as I have had with this drive you might be driven to throw it as hard as you can against the wall.
Junk!

Pros: None
Cons: Won't mount. Unreliable.
Overall Review: I have owned numerous Lacie products, but I have never been so frustrated with a hard drive until I got this lil' piece of junk. It just won't mount consistently. I've tried FW400, FW800 and USB, nothing. I hear the drive spin, but won't mount. Disk Utility sees nothing. So I give up, try again a couple days/weeks later... it works! But that's not when I need it work, unreliable. I have even swapped out drives (cheap, flimsy case) and have the same problem. Must be the CHEAP chipset they are using. Guess I'm stuck with a pricey paperweight, because it's now out of warranty and Lacie's customer support is pretty useless anyway. Don't buy, find something that works... for everyone, every time! Remember... if it smells like it and acts like it, you probably don't want to step in it!!
Piece of Junk

Pros: It looks cool... beyond that useless
Cons: Does not mount consistently. Horrible customer support.

Cute, Fun Device

Pros: It was FREE with WD RE-3 1Tb hard drives! Good for drawer and folder tab labeling. Cute black/acid green design. Very Easy To Use!!
Cons: Backing tape tough to peel off in order to apply label. Afraid to find out the cost of replacement labeling tape!
Overall Review: I will use and enjoy this product, but it's not something that I would have purchased in order to simply make label tapes. One trick pony!
A Good Hard Drive

Pros: It has a 5 year warranty, 32MB cache and 7200rpm drive speed... it works! As a hard drive, what more could you expect?
Cons: Wasn't free, can't cook my dinner, doesn't have the winning lottery numbers... dang!!
Overall Review: Bought 2 of these to upgrade the 500G drives in a RAID 1 array. OSX 10.5 recognized them and after formatting they simple work. Fast, quiet and hopefully reliable... that's why I decided on Western Digital. It appears that consistently the WD drives get higher ratings than the competition.
