Matches my other one
Pros: Quiet, reads and writes great. Does what it is supposed to do. Its a Pioneer.
Cons: There is no plug to transfer sound to the mb or sound card. No big one if you have good onboard sound.
Overall Review: I've had the earlier version of this, the 216DBK, for about a year and Have had zero problems with cd or dvd applications. I've had great luck with pioneer burners and have them in several builds. Not one failure in over two years. Get one of these.
Gigabyte no
Pros: heat sinks are pretty, good layout, easy install.
Cons: Board was extremely unstable. Random shutdowns. Tested six different memory sticks in board with no success. Tried everything to get this board to load operating system. Dual bios will not allow you to flash until you have an operating system to get online and use the flash utility. Spent hours on the phone with gigabyte support until they just gave up.
Overall Review: I have given up on the new gigabyte boards.
Nice Board
Pros: Bios is Awesome, very similar to my old Lan Party ultra D s. Overclocks easy. Fast with good chipset. looks good Easy setup. Rocks the core 2 duos. Bios jumper on i/o shield.
Cons: Not enough sata cables, 2 only. The board doesn't support the clip style cable well. Front audio header is underneath graphics card. You have to remove the card if you don't plug in the front audio on your case first. Minor stuff not quite -1 egg maybe -2/3
Overall Review: Before you bolt the board down, replace the bios jumper cap on the back that goes out the i/o shield for easy reset. Get one that has a tab on top . The auto boost software really isn't necessary, unless you are uncomfortable with adjusting voltage fsb etc. There are jumper pins for FSB and Ram settings, the default settings probably work the best. The board appears to be very quick. The raid 5 boots in about 50 secs. Bought 2 more
Push Pins suck
Pros: Replaces push pins on cooler. Adds stability to board with heavy coolers.
Cons: none
Overall Review: took a freezer pro 7 and replaced the push pins and got a 15 degree drop on my load temps. Who the hell ever thought up push pins?
Best cooler going
Pros: Intel core 2 duo idles at 28 degrees. Load under 40. It don't get no better! Screw down unit, no push pins. Fan has awesome led lighting.
Cons: Pricey
Overall Review: Very wide, you may have to bend a fin or two.
Love it
Pros: Case opens completely up, with mobo foldout tray. Lights are awesome. Lots of room. Very easy to build in. Nice hardware tray
Cons: Fan atx connectors are cheap. A good pair of needle nose pliers will help you shove the pins into the connectors.
Overall Review: Had the case for a month before building, did not notice front bezel clips were broke. Contacted raidmax and they sent the front bezel out free the same day. Awesome support!!! Would buy again at the price.
